Outdoor Activities

Located in close proximity to San Sebastian port, Playa San Sebastián boasts picturesque black sands and a serene atmosphere that is perfect for those seeking solitude. Despite being a popular destination, the beach remains relatively uncrowded even on weekends, with minimal commercial activity. The absence of sunbeds coupled with the availability of umbrellas adds to the relaxed vibe of the area. However, some visitors have noted that while the sand near the water is pleasant, it may not be as comfortable further inland.

Nice beach with showers and changing rooms. Some part is stony, some part is black sand.

János Kiss — Google review

Sandy beach near town with free parking, showers and some shade from palm trees and fixed umbrellas.Protected from large waves. Only bad thing is the diesel exhausts from ferries and not a lot of charm. Lots of locals on the beach.

Xavier van Leeuwe — Google review

I like the fav that there were no sunbeds or commercial stuff. There were some umbrellas, and that was great. It’s a very chill beach during weekdays. Maybe it gets crowded on weekends.

Simona C — Google review

No waves good for swimming! Few showers! Nice quiet beach!

Tomas Baca — Google review

Nice beach, just the sand to lay on is not very pleasant. Close to the water, the sand is nice.

Miky Putzlacherova — Google review

Quiet calm beach with the famous black sands, even on a weekend only a few people around. Worth a quick visit when in town coming off the ferry at San Sebastian port about 20 min walk away.

P — Google review

Good beach to visit with childern, actually the best on La Gomera island. Calm waves, dark sand with stones.

Majdalena92 — Google review

Black sand beach. No beds but life guards present. Quite decent actually.

Historic Sites

The Torre del Conde is a charming 15th-century stone tower situated in a picturesque location with stunning ocean vistas. The tower, which features a balcony, is located in the middle of a public park that offers numerous recreational opportunities for visitors. Unfortunately, the entrance to the interior of the building was closed during our visit. Nevertheless, it remains an attractive landmark that has undergone recent refurbishment and looks impressive overall.

Warm and sunny.. Clean and tidy mountainss high.

John Davenport — Google review

PERMANENTLY CLOSED. You can only see the outside of it. And EVEN THAT you can usually only see through a tall metal fence from far away as the park is often closed for no reason and with no signage. Terrible management of what should be a pretty epic historic site. Sadly, the city council (Cabildo) doesn’t seem to care about tourism.Strange . . .

Tobias Madigan — Google review

Lovely Public Green space for all to enjoy. The actual tower is closed save for a small platform which you may climb up on and enjoy the view.

JASON BACON — Google review

Very nice, park has a playground for kids and its very relaxed with cafes nearby

Frank Niemand — Google review

The park is lovely and has lots of uses for the folk here. The tower itself is a building in the middle with a balcony. Shame the door to inside was closed. It's good to look at.

Outdoor Activities

Nestled on a rugged and uneven shoreline, Playa de la Caleta is a petite pebble-strewn beach that provides visitors with scenic waterside dining spots. This picturesque cove boasts several facilities such as restrooms, showers, and changing rooms while also offering an exhilarating wave experience for families with children. The beach's rocky terrain allows for building rock barriers near the waves, making it an exciting location to spend time with loved ones.

Romantic beach

Dan Tanh?user — Google review

The beach is nice (the notice board said it's the best beach in the North side of the island) but there was a red flag, half broken, so must have just been left there for months. There were very little waves, so I wasn't worried about rip currents, but that's not the only kind of current, so we didn't swim. The flags should be maintained properly, or replaced with a clear explanation of the specific dangers on the beach so people can decide for themselves depending on the sea conditions. The generic warning about "dangerous currents" with no details is very unhelpful. There was no sand on this occasion (apparently it gets washed away and rebuilt regularly by the sea).

A 2025 — Google review

This is a very rocky beach with a difficult path to get there. Rocky roads and sometimes there was not enough space for two cars. There is enough parking and tables for picnics. Not recommended to swim or to go with kids. Wheelchair access or parking is not available. We just spent 20 minutes and left. There are better places to visit on the island. Not recommended overall.

fraus legi — Google review

Beautiful place. Toilets! Not safe for swimming most of the year. Local feastdays explain the picnic seats and shade. Sadly cafe no longer in use.

Philip Foxe — Google review

Very nice beach, amazing scenery. When we were there, the weather was very bad, so I can’t say anything about swimming. However, one thing to be aware of is that the road there is very long, narrow and in bad shape (There are many places with steep drops and no guard rail, sharp rocks have fallen onto the asphalt). If you are uncomfortable driving on bad, narrow, roads, you should avoid this place.

Martin Bellgardt — Google review

A beautiful view

Pavla Štěpánková — Google review

There are toilets.I wouldn’t recommend to swim there - it seems dangerous.

Pola Pruzińska — Google review

Absolut beautiful little pirate bay. The sea is too rough to swim (at least when i was there), but it is a lovely place to spend a day. There are sunbrellas and patches if sand, several tables with seating. And the route to the beach is spectacular in its own right.

Andreas Weiss — Google review

Beautiful little rock beach. Not too busy, but we'll equiped with toilet, shower and changing room. Heavy waves, but a lot of fun with kids, building rock walls near the waves.

Fountains

Fountain Las Americas is a central attraction in Playa de las Americas, featuring a captivating light display every evening. The area around the fountain is bustling with numerous shops, restaurants, and nightlife venues, making it an ideal spot for exploration. Visitors can enjoy shopping during the day and revel in the vibrant atmosphere at night. Additionally, its proximity to various accommodations like Hotel Sol Arona Tenerife in Costa Adeje makes it easily accessible for tourists seeking entertainment and dining options.

Great experience and excellent choice of music for the water and light display, well worth seeing.

Ronald Keir Meikle — Google review

A the experience is nice, but nothing wow. Ho to the 1st floor of the building to have a better view. The show starts at 9 and 10PM and lasts about 15 minutes.

Florin Balanescu — Google review

We went during the evening at the set times, as that's when they synchronised the water to the music. This was really nice and made the Christmas atmosphere. Some lights appear to be not working. A little more effort in the technical arrangements with the fountain jets could make this an amazing event, it was good but can be better. However this is free, so come and enjoy it. Thank you 🤗🙄 The Hard Rock cafe and hotel just across the road also has a large water feature, but despite its size is nothing, as nothing changes at any time and is very boring in comparison and has nothing to do with this display. 😭

Byron Jenkins — Google review

Very nice place, just in front of Hard Rock Cafe and surrounded by mani thematic restaurants, very close to the beach also.

Hello everyone,I have been in tenerif for the first time. it is a beautiful place.Clean, nice, and quiet. My hotel was in Costa Adeje, about 12 min drive by bus to Las Americas that cost me €1,5, by Taxi €12.5. (From my hotel)There are a lot of shops, restaurants, pubs and.....Highly recommended if you travelling to tenerif.Foods are so expensive in Costa Adeje.a burger about £12.5I hope this review will be helpful for anyone.

Sebastien Rabaud — Google review

Have you been to Tenerife if you don't post pics from the fountain.... ?

Alan Cantwell — Google review

Nice place to visit. In the very center of the most touristic place of the island. You will find hundreds of stores and restaurants nearby for enjoying both during the day or at night. The fountain itself isn't that much of the attraction but it's more the focal point of everything surrounding it. It's worth the visit and you will enjoy yourself either shopping or just having a look around; having something to eat. It is also very close to multiple hotels and beaches were you can enjoy yourself during the sunny hours and then get ready for the night entertainment.

Marcos García — Google review

Nice fountain, shops and restaurants located around the fountain. Easy walking with flat surfaces so people can move around efficiently. Would recommend 👍

Kyle Clarke — Google review

Great area, perfect for pictures, very busy with lots of restaurants to choose from. The only thing I will say is some will be a bit of a wait but worth it

Gemma Cassells — Google review

Las Vistas is a beautiful beach located in Arona, on the east coast of Tenerife. It's one of the most well-known beaches on the island and is perfect for all kinds of users - from residents to visitors and those looking for a relaxing day at the beach. The facilities are top-notch, with changing rooms, restaurants and a fountain close by.

beautiful beach , clean, you can find free shower , plenty of beach bars and restaurants for good price and of coarse sun beds and umbrellas water is not so warm Beach is with black sand and So we enjoy it so much and definitely recommend!

Business Advisor — Google review

Amazing, clean, sandy beach, lot of space (even during main visit hours). Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Rentable sun beds. Great place for swimming, snorkelling or diving.

Petr Havel — Google review

Very clean and nice beach. Sometimes the water is so transparently that you can see below 2m.

Haidau Vladimir — Google review

Tenerife is not a beach island. The beaches are few and far between and not luxurious in terms of mother nature. Los Cristianos is a center for beachgoers and they will find everything here: restaurants, clubs, a large beach, a nice promenade and a lot of tourists. It's not bad, you can come and choose the relaxation option.

Lukasz Taborski — Google review

Definitely beautiful. Enough big also to have space. The sunset is amazing here, worth to watch it.The umbrellas and beds cost 4 euro/piece, so also worth the price on very sunny days. What is annoying that as usually in central points you find all kind of sellers, massage offers, etc passing around you, shouting and taking away the calmness of the spot. Maximum 13 minutes passed till a next offer arrives.

R?ka Kelemen — Google review

The best beach in Tenerife. Large, clean and beautiful. A great selection of restaurants alongside (McDonald's for the kids). A beach chair and umbrella costs 4€ each.

?lafur Bj?rnsson — Google review

So how to evaluate this beach, which is marked as non-smoking, but no one checks it or enforces fines (up to 2000 Euros). So smokers selfishly annoy non-smokers who have paid for an umbrella and sunbed with a carcinogenic stench, and also throw cigarette butts everywhere. It's disgusting. So maybe there will be something positive on the water. And it is not. It is murky and garbage floats on the surface. It's really hard to rate the beaches of Tenerife, it's probably not an island for swimming

Radim Lokoč — Google review

Playa del Las Vistas is a fantastic beach in Tenerife. The clear blue water and beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean are stunning. What's great is their accessibility efforts; they have ramps and facilities for disabled visitors. You can get 2 sun-beds and umbrella for 12 euro which is nice deal. There is also lots of free parking space near the beach so it is quite easy to get here. It's a clean and well-maintained beach, perfect for a relaxing day in the sun. Highly recommended!

Filip Bozhinovski — Google review

Nice, quite wide beach with fine sand. A lot of restaurants, and way through the coast to other beaches and towns.

Bogna Andrzejewska — Google review

Perfect beach for a day out with family. We rented 2 beach chairs with 1 parasol and it was 12€ for the full day. The sand is fine and grey coloured. The ambiance is very good and looked pretty safe. I recommend for family outing anytime. Be careful with the sea current as it can be strong

Siddharth Aaron — Google review

Amazing beach with clear beautiful water. Good location, along the beach there is a pavement it’s suitable for walking and jogging.

Filipp (FeliX) — Google review

The best beach in the Los Cristianos area boasts an extensive stretch of soft sand, perfect for a leisurely barefoot stroll. It wasn’t overcrowded or with vendors selling items on the day we visited. Whether you opt to rent a chair or bring your own beach towels, it's an ideal spot to bask in the sunshine.

Joanna Deng — Google review

Pleasant beach with clean sand, though the free toilets are dirty. The water is opaque, offering no visibility. Many loud persons persistently hawk blankets, cheap items, and various souvenirs, creating a bustling and untrustworthy atmosphere.

Viktor Tsvetkov — Google review

Amazing beach, we came every day to watch the sunset. You can always find a spot for your towel if you dont want to rent a lounger. The sea is warm and crystal clear so perfect for a swim and a cool down. Men walking up and down the beach seling cold drinks etc. Love it!

Bodies of Water

Playa de Los Cristianos is a well-known beach with facilities for swimming and sunbathing, including a promenade, loungers, bar and volleyball court. Situated in a tranquil natural cove shielded from the wind by the nearby fishing port, this beach retains its traditional fishing village charm. Visitors can observe vessels sailing in the distance while leisure boats set sail daily from here and ferry terminals to explore other islands.

Beautiful beach it can get a bit crowded, but it’s in a really good location.

M P — Google review

Nice and clean beach with many restaurants and cafe nearby. A port is nearby with different size boats, yacht and ships. Common place for different sport activities.

Fanuel Zemichael — Google review

I like the area and the vibe. Is a thin sandy beach. Not very busy as Costa Adeje so good to enjoy the sun and the ocean. All around full of restaurants and coffees, shops all you need.I enjoy it

MARIA PRISECARU — Google review

It was comparatively calmer and less crowded than most days from what I believe, as the weather was cloudy. But personally, I really liked it and had a good time. Extra points for that lovely promenade! And the location is unquestionably great!

Aishwarya Vishwakarma (Aisha) — Google review

Lovely beach were you can rent beds for 2 person 9 EU. Also you can bring your towels and enjoy hot send surface 😉 constant view of the different ships. Despite its a 🚢 port water clean and warm as long as you have 🌞. I have enjoyed my stay. Beach side have a lot of restaurants were you can sit down and enjoy pint of 🍺 or something else 😉

sergiy moskalenko — Google review

Nice and alive place. Many voleyball players in good shape around here. Doble bed for 8,- € Ocean temperature not very high, but some swimers visible. Sun is pretty hot in february.

Pavol Ju???k — Google review

Blue Flag certified beach; very clean with fine sand, also ideal for children. Restaurants, taverns and shops nearby. One of the best beaches in Tenerife.

Pradatu Cosmin — Google review

Beautiful beach with turquoise water & fine sand! Loads of restaurants & shops near by. You can take boats for Dolphin & whale watching from here.

Lavanya L — Google review

I love this beach. It gives me an authentic local vibe and it has everything you need for a day at the beach. It’s also not over crowded like the ones nearer to the touristy areas. There’s a public toilet nearby and loads of bars and restaurants to choose from. You can simply rent a day bed (or just lay on the beach) and go grab food at your convenience.

Truc Tran — Google review

Not the best beach on the South Coast of the Island, but in a nearest area its the best what we was find. Very fine and a gray sand, not very comfortable sun-beds and a really small umbrellas, which can’t hide you from the sun totally. But rates for that not so high just a 9 eur for two beds and umbrella for all day. But if you are planing to be on this beach till the evening you need to understand that at 6:30 staff of the beach will ask you leave a beds, due to the close time. I think it’s not good because I preferred to be on the beach till 8, and I was forced go on or seated on sand. Near the beach a big port with a lot of ferries, yachts and boats. Due to that water are not so clean.

La Ni?a Bonita — Google review

Popular place among volleyball players. The beach itself is not particularly interesting, maybe because the port is nearby and the sand on the beach is not the best.

J?nos Kiss — Google review

Be careful, there are giant waves on this beach! No, just kidding, there aren't any. The beach is sheltered by the harbor from the force of the waves. So there are lots of little kids playing there. In addition, sometimes a ferry will blow its horn. Just an idyll. I really don't understand why anyone is posting pictures of Vistas Beach here...

Radim Lokoč — Google review

syruk — Google review

Beautiful beach! Friendly for kids, as it has a smooth entrance in the water and there are no rocks. The sand is very soft, but it burns in the middle of the day. Never crowded and lots of stores and restaurants close by. Bathroom and showers are available

alexandra c. — Google review

Quite a long sandy beach with a rocky shore leading to Las Gargantuas cliffs to the east and a small harbour for fishing and pleasure boats to the west.Nearly all yellowy-brown sand with hundreds of sun loungers, parasols, boardwalks, volleyball nets and access for wheelchairs and buggies and a couple of public toilets with shower towers for rinsing off the sand. Great views of La Gomera and quite busy.

Huge beach with ton of lawn chairs, very clean and nice sandy beach. Water is clear and worth a swim, busy spot with locals and tourists! Lots of restaurants in the area, this is the spot on the island to visit and stay nearby

The water park Siam Park is a great place to spend a hot day with friends. There are dozens of rides and pools to enjoy, as well as beach and bar areas. It's especially popular with Thai tourists, who can enjoy the themed attractions.

One of the must visit tourist attractions in Tenerife ..! All the are terrific and awesome. Queues at some of the rides at peak times. Lots of waiting time. Many Lockers available near the rides. Decent food options available. It’s very clean and tidy , well maintained. All the rides are very good. Fast pass is also available and dedicated lines for fast pass. Fast pass costs around 18€ per person apart from ticket price. Lots of parking available , paid parking near Siam park or can be parked in Siam mall very near to Siam water park. Definitely it’s a must visit if you are in Tenerife south.! Lots of road side parking is also available near by ..! Highly recommended. Lots of playing options for kids as well ..!

Kiran Kumar Tathekalva — Google review

We had a blast at Siam Park! There's lot of slides and attractions, if you go with a group of friends, you're guaranteed to have a great day. There's slides for everyone, from more accessible "greens" to "red", the more intense attractions. There's areas to sunbathe and little parks for children to play in the water safely. The Beach with artificial waves is a great place to enjoy some downtime.Downsides: I am not sure if this happens every day but, we went mid week and queues were an absolute carnage. Took us quite a while to even be able to get to our lockers to deposit the stuff. Some slides don't have fast pass, meaning that you might queue for long times, even hours.Leading to the next point, price: you are nearly forced to buy the Fast pass if you want to get anything done. Which inflates the price.I know it's expensive but I would recommend buying the fast pass otherwise I don't think the experience will be enjoyable. You'll wind up spending most of your time queuing (only reason why I'm giving 4*)

Alessio Solar — Google review

It’s a very beautiful tropical park with seals, fishes, black swans and plenty other animals. The slides are mind blowing, but getting from one to another point is not so easy.I recommend going there early as possible because from 11:30AM all fast passes sold out, therefore we couldn’t enjoy a full experience due to long queues to the attractions.Great buffet and affordable prices

Domokos Zsolt M?t? — Google review

Great experience! Hardly any queues in November and the weather was good so we got to enjoy all the slides. The food is decent and too expensive. The park is lovely, full of greenery, well staffed, and with lots of amenities. It's a must if you come to this island.

Beatrice B — Google review

Siam Park was really beautiful- plenty of secluded areas with lush plants and shady or sunny beach chairs to serve as a base between slides. It was sometimes hard to figure out how to get somewhere specific, but there were always cool things to check out. More of the slides required 2 people than I expected and several could hold up to 4. My teenage daughter did bring a friend, but where the friend did not want to do some of the rides, my daughter was kind of stuck. They were too cool to think fit into the scene in the kid area, which was set up for individual sliding. I attached common restrictions and weight limits so guests can better plan their visits.

Clare Dibble — Google review

Best water park I've been tooBeautiful, well planned with excellent rides. Queues not too long in April and rides highly enjoyable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The wave pool was the best part - huge tides that move you off your feet!

Fei Sun — Google review

mega experience, I can’t describe in words. One has to visit to feel it.one of the best water parks in the world with more than 40 rides.tower of power is the best..this park has nice food options and is situated in a Costa Adeja. We went three days in a row and still thought to spend more 😂Make sure to carry some cash (if needed) there is only one cashpoint at the entrance of the park.Do carry some coins for the lockersIf visiting in peak season, do buy Fast Track Passes.Best to arrive at 10amenjoy the wave place, river, tower power etc

Sandeep Bisht — Google review

We bought the day passes with food - for 200 and something euros I was hoping for something special……… and it was!We queued up outside from about 9:40 and we were inside the park soon after it opened. We took no valuables but a phone which we put in a waterproof holder (buy one before you go to save money) and a bank card. While others were queuing for lockers we dropped our towels off at some sun loungers and started going on rides. We managed to go on pretty much everything within an hour and 20 minutes without having to queue. We then passed our time redoing slides we liked (volcano/ dragon) and going round the lazy river. The food hall was chaotic and not a good experience! Why would you have two separate queues feeding into a melee of people who need to constantly cross paths to get to the things they want…… if we go again I’d go before or after the busy period.I was pleasantly surprised by the food though. Not only was it pretty good (I had Thai) but we only spent 45 euros of our credit at lunch time which meant we could go back later for dessert. All in all, I’ve been to quite a few water parks in the states and Europe and this has to be the best. It is so well maintained, apart from the food hall it was pretty stress free…….. and the slides were epic!

Buy ticket beforehand and if you can buy the cut in front of line DO IT. If not then buy the entrance ticket and show up early (9 am for the line in furthest to the left of entrance to get in quickly) then go to the floating market and get in line for front of line ticket, it cost 26 euros and you choose from hours 10-14 or 14-18. It will get you in front of each ride once and there are plenty of rides. I chose 14-18 so we could look at the place walk around and get to see what was on offer before it was our turn. Before we went exploring we found sun beds and got our own looker and towels. I would say get a locker but we didn't use our sun beds at all. Just walked around went to the wave beach which was AWESOME and ate before 13 a clock and then got our selves ready for action. We didn't sit down much 😂 It was a fantastic day and worth every penny but I think I would say something else if we didn't have the front in line ticket because people were waiting like 60 minutes for each ride as we waited maybe 5min at the most

If I could take off half a star I would. We bought All inclusive tickets. So worth it! The fast passes were included as well as towels locker and all food/drink for the day. When we got to the park there was a long queue both for those who had tickets and those who didn't. We then had to queue to get our all inclusive bands. Fine it wasn't a long queue. However, every locker area has a huge queue. And even though we had a locker and towels included we had to join the same queue as those who needed to pay for one. We lost about an hour in the morning because of this and would have been longer if it wasn't for the kindness of someone in the queue who had the same issue as us. Otherwise once we had settled in a seat and got on the rides it was a brilliant day.

We had a wonderful experience in the park. It's well organised and the rides are fantastic. Staff is helpful. The lockers and toilets are well distributed. Food options are pretty standard but reasonable. We spent a full day and every minute was worth it. We could park in a parking just adjacent to the park for free.

Amazing experience! I been for an afternoon with my partner, the place is full of variety animals, is in the middle of the forest. Beautiful animals and place and the shows they are amazing! I suggest to go for meet all animals and enjoy a day with friends! Thanks for the beautiful experience. Also the price for the ticket can help the stuff to look after all animals. Definitely to try

The best way to spend a few hours and a few pounds/euros. It's an amazing aquatic park full of fun. Every time I go, I enjoy like a kid. The weather is always great over there. Sometimes, it can be very busy, better go before or after summer, too many people and too hot. The water is always clean and you can bring your own drinks and food as it can be a bit overpriced. It's definitely a place to repeat. Don't doubt it and go!

What an amazing place. Beautiful, spacious and immaculatly clean for a water park. So much to do for all ages. Entertainment, relaxation, thrills, rides, shows and food! Well recommended and will definitely be returning again one day! Hopefully!!

Stevie Gray — Google review

This is a fantastic family day of fun. There's something for everyone, from the thrill seeker's daredevil slides to the more relaxed lazy river. The huge wave pool and beach are a great way to spend some time relaxing too. It's great fun watching everyone getting rolled around by the waves. I think it's on once an hour for about 15 minutes, so when it's not on it's a great way to spend time with little ones paddling around with a bucket and spade. The food at the cafe is great too, with plenty to pick from. There are burgers, chips, pizza, salad and more. It's not cheap but it's nice food and there are options for vegetarians and vegans.

Super cool experience. More than 40 rides in total. It was a rainy day, and it was the best decision ever to go. Absolutely no queues. Like 4 rides at the row on tower of power. We even waited for +2 people to ride because of min capacity of 4.Again. The best day to really enjoy the park is a rainy day!!! The best!

Svetlana Zavialova — Google review

I would actually give it about 3 1/2 stars. We booked general admission tickets online in advance, however I would recommend paying extra in advance for the fast pass as these sell out almost immediately after they open.. so would not leave it for the day of.We went yesterday (Monday, 17-07-2023), thought to do this in hopes it wouldn't be too busy, buy it was VERY busy and crowded so keep that in mind.. without fast passes it can take upwards of an hour to get on the rides (especially more exciting ones).. and you should get there as early as possible to reserve your locker and spot at the beach. The lockers are a bit confusing as they just give you a key and don't tell you which locker bay you are in.I really enjoyed the lazy river, although it does get very busy and full so you will be bumping into a lot of people, also only some people can get into the extra section to go down the slide under the aquarium and many people were climbing over and pushing in.A lot of people are very inconsiderate of the lines and others. Someone from the UK tried to pass the mat for the racer slide to his friends instead of the next person in line and almost started a fight when he was not allowed to do so by the crowd of people who had been waiting in the front, they had to get security involved. The park is very clean and well looked after, good facilities. The food is good and restaurants are reasonably priced. Also, unfortunately, the staff are not very friendly / helpful (more so to tourists, in my experience).Overall, we did enjoy our day and had a good time!

Great day out! We arrived at the park at 9am and the queue wasn't too bad. The park is huge and has a great variety of rides for all ages. The lazy river was the best part. I recommend buying the premium tickets as this includes lockers, towels and €15 each for food/drinks

1000000% would go back. Best water park I've been too ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I'd recommend buying your tickets in advance, we booked through your guide and paid £36pp. This meant we could queue in the 'with ticket' queue, which once the park opened, moved fairly quickly.Tip - we went straight to the beach lockers, which is where the wave pool is, paid 15 euros for a locker, and you get 10 euros back just make sure you keep the receipt! We shared once locker between four of us. Making the walk to the beach first means that you are on the back end of the park so the rides such as dragon 🐉 are much quieter so we didn't have to queue to get on the first 4 rides.I also purchased a waterproof phone case before going which I'd definitely recommend you can go on every ride with it apart from tower of terror, I wore my crocs on every ride as well apart from the tower as well.Food was good and relatively good pricing! They also had an offer on that if you wanted to go again, you'd pay 21 euros for the second visit.~ we went on a Tuesday end of September and did not need to purchase a fast track and we got on every ride, longest we had to queue was half an hour and that was on one ride ~

Megan Rowley — Google review

A beautiful, large park is worth a visit. It definitely pays to buy a "Fast pass" at the entrance or mini market right at the beginning. It's a good idea to follow the signs for each water slide, so you know for how many people it is.

Gabi Macik — Google review

Definitely recommend going here in the quiet season, which we done and still it wasn't quiet but was able to get on all the slides straight away! Lovely tropical thai feel with sea lions too. Only recommendations are more staff at the beach clubs as queues was excessive always. Amazing day out though would go again!

Chloe Smith — Google review

Great place for a fun day out!!Don't like waterslides? Me not much either, but the lazy river and wave pool kept me occupied. Plenty of sun loungers too for a base whilst the rest of the party go hurling themselves through the rides!Food and drink prices were average and not overpriced. Toilets were clean.Spent the whole day here and only half of the park was explored 🙌

Nadina — Google review

I’ve visited Tenerife many times but this was the first trip to Siam Park and we were not disappointed. We visited in January 24 and only had to queue for around 10 minutes prior to it opening. We pre purchased the tickets online which included a free burger. So many great rides, it’s a fantastic layout and design with the rides hidden away, very tropical looking. The restaurants are so affordable once you’re there with various food and drink offers. We had children with us and easily got seats together near The Lost City. Great place and the day passed so quickly, well worth a visit if you’re thinking about going. We also purchased the group photo we had taken. These are available at the end of the day, just before you exit the park.

Alison Lowe — Google review

Amazing, the slides were thrilling, the food was cheap, and the staff were mostly lovely. Amazing teeming, which really created a fantastic atmosphere for the park. The wave pool was also brilliant. It can get busy, but is well worth a visit!!! 👍👍👍

A huge park, everything very good organised and clean. Prices are good for food and coffee, as well for souvenirs, affordable for everyone.Better go at beginning of the program, need all day to see all around the park. Any day for any age is fun, we really enjoyed the time there and we don't know to swim.

MARIA PRISECARU — Google review

It’s the world number 1 aqua park in Tripadvisor and it definitely deserves this reputation! It was my best aqua park experience ever 🤩 However, it’s quite expensive. Even though the locals pay less than half of tourists pay, we paid 43€ of entry fee per person. Plus, you are required to pay 7€ (small cupboard) or 10€ (relatively big one) to put your clothes in. You can also rent non-slip shoes around 20-25€, which is too expensive in my opinion. On the other hand, it promises half price entry for your second visit, but there’s no need to go there again because you spend 3/4 of your time on the queue for waiting. To avoid waiting a lot, you can pay extra (I guess it was around 25€ and you can benefit from it one time for each slide) for fast track, which is again too expensive. The worst thing is that you need to go back to the changing rooms to get your wallet when you want to buy something to eat/drink. And it takes like forever… they should have created another payment method like with a chip attached to the key with credits and such. It could have saved lots of time. Other than that, it was a nice experience but there was a huge queue for every and every slide. Please go there as early as possible and bring maybe a sandwich and a few snacks in your bag. Otherwise, you should wait in the queue more than one hour during lunch time to be able buy something.

Illy — Google review

Waited an hour to get in, waited an hour in a queue for the lockers which we were charged €10 for a large one which barely fit our bag in. No changing rooms, had to use the toilet. A badly signposted water park, maps are poor. You spend half the time trying to find a ride. Queues for rides long but they seem to go down really quickly so no need for a fast track to be honest. Waited 45 minutes for our food which wasn’t too expensive but the wait was just more waste of time. Not enough toilets around the park. Staff seem helpful. Very disorganized and a lot of time wasted. Paid a lot of money to get in for very few rides.

Caroline B — Google review

Amazing water park - definitely stands up to the name of the best water park in the world! 🥇The water park is very well designed and has a range of rides that are very well maintained. There's plenty of seating and relaxing areas around the park and also a range of inexpensive food options such as sandwiches, burgers, fries, crepes and waffles. We went there on Sunday in the middle of January and there was no queues to any of the rides. We managed to go down every ride at least couple of times and still had time to have lunch and chill by the pool. We had so much fun and spent the whole day there. I definitely recommend visiting Siam Park when in Tenerife! 🐉

Zoo

Outdoor Activities

Tenerife Zoo Monkey Park is a compact yet enjoyable zoo that houses endangered primates. The cages are walk-through, and visitors can feed the animals without fear of them being afraid. The zoo is clean, and staff work hard to keep it that way, resulting in no unpleasant odors. Parking is available for free just outside the entrance, making it a convenient place for families to visit.

Fabulous time at the monkey zoo. You can feed some of the animals, the monkeys are super, the guinea pigs were in the thousands, bird enclosures sounded fantastic.Great trip out for a couple of hours. €10 per person. Parking available. Vending machines if you need a cold drink.

Not so Plain — Google review

I visited Monkey Park with my husband and 3 year old son. We really enjoyed it; it was great value for money at €20 for both adults and under 5s are free. We bought animal food also which was only €3 as you can feed some of the monkeys, birds, reptiles and guinea pigs. They have some enclosures you can walk through and feed, as above, and others to view like a normal zoo. Large enclosures so animals have lots of space inside and information is in English and Spanish.Only downside is there's no restaurant/cafe, its just the animals, so be prepared and take food/drink with you.

Jennie Court — Google review

lovely variety of animals and not just monkeys. ADORABLE guinea pigs that you can feed! they also have crocodiles, birds, turtles, lemurs etc. entry is only 10€ and a box of food is 3€. It is definitely good value for money. This place may be difficult to get to if you don't get a taxi or rent a car. I would definitely return.

Elina — Google review

This place is absolutely amazing. The animals all appear very well cared for and the whole experience is fantastic. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in south Tenerife. It cost €10 for an adult and €5 for kids. The tubs of food are €3 each and it's definitely worth it. The army of guinea pigs are the best and having the monkeys climbing on you is something I didn't expect but it's so cute. There's so much to see but I'd say the visit is max 2 hours. I would recommend arriving early as it was extremely busy by lunch time.

Katie Lowndes — Google review

Not bad, not good either. The park is very small. You can buy food to feed the animals in the park, but eventually we could feed only the Guinea pigs, which was also the most exciting entertainment. But given the price (10 eur for adults, 5 eur for children) you get what you paid for. If you have seen everything else on the island, then you can consider visiting the park with the children, however I would prefer to spend this time on a beach instead.

Sabīne Sarkane — Google review

Loved it here! It's guinea pig madness!!!!!! So many piggies. There are also monkeys and other awesome animals. But feeding the guinea pigs was the highlight. Although holding the parrot as also cool. Oh and so was feeding the Lemur. It's a small park but a couple of hours or so well spent. The kids loved it.You will be best off driving here as access is via a road with no pavements and goes under the main road via a narrow section. Not the safest on foot.Well worth a visit though.

Barclay Curtis — Google review

A small, but nice park with a variety of different monkeys that I didn’t even know existed. Also, there is a lot of different birds, guinea pigs and a Cuban crocodile. It is possible to feed some of the animals too. Overall a nice and cheap experience for 2-3 hours. Looks like the animals are treated well.

Anders Hejlsvig — Google review

We decided to go to the monkey park in the morning so we did not book in advance. We got straight in with no wait. The park is very well laid out with many of the enclosures being walk in, meaning you can interact with the animals. You can purchase food at the entrance to feed the animals with, which I highly recommend.A good variety of animals are in the park, not just monkeys, which keeps you interested throughout your visit.Toilets are available on site and there is a taxi area which meant we did not have to wait long to get back to our resort.Overall it was a great few hours spent on our holiday, would recommend to anyone not just those with children

David Ferguson — Google review

What an amazing little place this is... Me and my partner absolutely loved it!Now this isn't a massive place with loads to do but for €10 we couldn't fault it.A good variety of primates, birds and a little bonus was 2 Cuban crocodiles... But my girlfriends absolute favourite was 4 pens holding a few hundred guinea pigs 🤣😍! I wasn't a big fan before but I've got to say these are some of the cutest things I've seen!

Mark Gale — Google review

Interesting experience, especially for the kids. Some shade available, but not much; either pick a cloudy day, or wear sunblock and bring water, it gets stuffy really quick. We did the whole tour and fed the monkeys and guinea pigs in a little under 2 hours. Parking is available, but it's small and gets crowded fast.

Cristina Andrei — Google review

We really enjoyed our time here. All animals seem to have big enough cages and look very well taken care of. The staff pays attention to everything and they are careful to remind people not to touch the animals. At the entrance you can buy a pack of food to feed the animals. It costs 3€ and it's 100% worth your money. The food makes the animals interested in you and it's your best bet of interacting with the monkeys by yourself. There are many guinea pigs ready to eat out of your palm (literally) too.Besides that, the staff facilitates some interactions between the visitors and the animals, such as making a monkey climb over people's shoulders or placing a parrot on people's arms.

Anda Ciocoiu — Google review

Loved every part of the zoo, there was loads of chances to interact with animals as well as feed them. It may be a small zoo but you can easily spent a couple of hours there just feeding and hanging out with the animals, even the doves will take food from your hand. There are plenty of enclosures where you can walk through them and be close to the animals.

Bethany Blake — Google review

Fair price. It’s not a very big zoo but quite a fun place to go.As you can see from the pictures, animals are well-treated in this zoo. They are not afraid of people getting closer to them. The entire zoo is quite clean, staffs work quite well on keeping the cleanliness. No strange smell at all.Parking is just in front of the entrance and it’s free of charge.Very suitable for family to visit there.

Hata Jan — Google review

A great place to take kids to see different animals, for about 10 euros per person you can spend a good 2 hours looking around and feeding the animals. You have to purchase the food there (€3/box). The perfect place for Guinea pig lovers! Everything was super clean and well maintained and the staff were very friendly.

susana teixeira — Google review

Nice place, many different species of monkey, bird, tortoise, reptiles, etc. Great place for kids too. It has separate space when there are millions of guinea pigs to interact with. They are really cute. I give it a 4, because the possibility to interact or feed the monkeys is false advertised. The food you can buy to feed "monkeys" rather corresponds to guinea pigs food profile. Nevertheless, it's definitely worth a visit.

Tomasz Wojtkiewicz — Google review

Plenty to see...monkeys, birds, crocodiles, and guinea pigs. Toilets on site. Drinks and ice creams are available to purchase but limited choice. Places to sit in the shade, which is welcome because it is hot up there. The only criticism I have is that when there was a lack of supervision in the pen where the giant turtle and guinea pigs were, we saw visitors trying to handle the animals and causing them distress.Otherwise, it was a pleasant morning spent at the park 🙂

Pat B — Google review

A fab place to visit while in Tenerife. We walked up from our hotel and spent around two hours feeding the monkeys, Guinea pigs, birds and tortoises. The boys had a lovely time. Taxis are parked outside if you don’t fancy the walk back. No cafe here but there are ice creams and a drinks machine and afew tables and chairs as you come in to take a rest at. Highly recommend. We had our photos taken with the parrots for 8 euros.

karen Morrissey — Google review

You definitely have to pick a good time to go, because the place gets crowded pretty fast. And with the heat, that’s not really bearable.Hard to get there by bus, because you’ll need to walk a quite dangerous route to get there. I’d recommend taking a taxi. It’s not as big as I expected, but I enjoyed my time there. The guinea pigs are so cute. Although I wonder, so many people buy food for them, don’t they get too much? I can imagine. Also, in the beginning, there is a crocodile in the water. I feel like he doesn’t belong there, because it is a monkey park and he is in such a small enclosure. I definitely feel like they can replace that with something better. It’s a nice place to take your children to.But you can’t really make a day from it. I’d say I spend maximum one hour here.In the entire park, there is not one crew member! If there are enough people, you could easily sneak into the park, and because there was lack of staff, some people were actually hurting the monkey by throwing paper at it! The monkey ate it and spat it out after a while. That can’t be healthy. I wonder what else some cruel people do when no one is around…There are also a few snakes (in a glass enclosure) and some other small animals. I don’t think a lot of people pay attention to them.I think it’s also nice that you can just pay for your ticket at the reception. It was a very very friendly lady!!I’d give it an overall 3/5 star review.

Julie — Google review

We just talked to monkey Park doing a holiday in December. we didn’t book any advance tickets rather bought it on the spot. There was no queue to enter, it was ready quick, even though the staff said it was very busy. I think it wasn’t good decent. It was not too crowded. There were lots and lots of guinea pigs all over and very cute, my daughter loved them. You can buy a box of food at the counter for the guinea pigs and monkeys and parrots. There was also a man when we helped us with an experience with the parrots, there were two of them big ones and it was free of charge. Only thing which was disappointing was I had lots of reviews and pictures where there was a monkey sitting on you eating food directly from your arm and outside the cage. We didn’t see that we were all apparently potato so we’re not doing that. That was very disappointing. However, my daughter could still feed the monkeys from behind the gates. You also different other kind of animals, it was interesting to look at them. we spent between 2 to 3 hours there that’s more than enough. As a small place with tables and chairs and you can buy ice cream. Also it was around 10 euro or something. Parking was free.

payal goenka — Google review

Really enjoyed my visit here! Plenty of animals to see and was a great experience getting to feed the monkeys and guinea pigs. I would suggest buying more than one pack of food for 3 euros as it runs out by the time you get to the monkeys. The only downside is a lot of parents weren’t watching their kids and letting them run wild, opening doors where animals could potentially escape.

Water & Amusem*nt Parks

Aqualand Costa Adeje is an open-air water park in San Eugenio Alto, Austria that features a variety of slides and tube rides for thrill-seekers. The park also includes kiddie pools, a dolphinarium with daily shows at 3 p.m., lazy river, trampoline, swimming-pool with waterfall, flying boats and more.

Great relaxed day out. Aqualand is better for young children than siam as its more chilled out and laid back.Loads of great slides for kids and adults.Dolphin show is great.Food is expensive so take a picnic with you or there is a supermarket outside the park to buy baguettes etc.Sun loungers are 2€ for the day.Photos 10€ per photo or 8€ happy hour 1330 and 1430.Overall very enjoyable

Very nice, many slides for young and old, everyone will find something. Excellent dolphin show, you could take photos with dolphins, but they are also taken photos during your stay there and then you can buy them when you leave. The only downside is the food and drinks, because they are quite expensive for this standard of meal.Anyway, I recommend it it's very good fun there.

I went to Aqualand with a group of friends on Sunday, May 22. Adults and children; The youngest being 3 and the eldest 12. Some of us without kids.Having read the reviews I was apprehensive but open minded. I read complaints about the place being old and rusty etc. However, very pleasantly surprised we all had an amazing day.We arrived around midday, no queue to get in. We located our friends, who were lazing around one of the many salt water pools. Sunbeds are extra to the entry price (€2 for the day). The pools have an array of slides for younger kids. There are hydro therapy pools, which are great fun for all. Chill out zones, a dolphin show, food (although we took our own and had a picnic poolside, with the kids). The loos and changing rooms are clean. Announcements are made thought-out the day about various things - in English and Spanish. Don't leave your belongings unattended. Do use the lockers if you need to send don't bring valuable items. We were a large group and had no problems with accessing the pools or the larger rides. There is a deal for a second visit but I didn't read the conditions.I would go again. In fact, I will go again!I thoroughly enjoyed the day and loved watching the kids run free and enjoying themselves. Lifeguards and staff are clearly visible and helpful. Great fun.

KimKim Dight Iuffredo — Google review

Better for little ones than Siam, although 1.2 and 1.4M is what height they really need to be to enjoy everything. Plenty for our 1 and 5 year old to do, the best part was the mini waterslides where they don't let the adults on. The dolphins got me good and was worth the visit alone, a great show. Pleased we took the day out here. 82 euros for a family of four wasn't bad. No shade, be prepared!

Max Daley — Google review

This park might be smaller than Siam park but it definitely doesn’t feel that way. There were no queues to enter, it felt so spacious and clean. The rides were kid appropriate with a lot of activities. We got a fast pass which helped but without one the kids would have still gotten on a lot of rides. The dolphin show was at 3:30, it’s free to watch and a rather fun activity the kids will enjoy. We had our wet shoes from Siam park but for some rides we had to take them off. The lockers were easily accessible and much cleaner. The loungers were easy to get but cost 2 euros. All in all, if you’ve got kids younger than 6, I would recommend this park. They’ll have a lot of fun. However, the food was rather expensive so bring in a picnic if you want.

Julia Osa — Google review

Had a great time here. It was quiet when we went in November so we had no issue going on all the slides. Some of them could do with some maintenance though as sliding down them can feel painful on your back when you pass each section of slide. The water used on them also looks slightly discoloured. They are building a new slide which looks like it will be fun. The dolphin show was also amazing.

Frazer Jet — Google review

January visit so please understand the review regarding outside temperature.Dolphin Show (5 ⭐) Really enjoyable show. The temperature of every pool was extremely cold. No heated pools so no children entered the water. All slides have a minimum height restriction of 120 mm (apart from the kid's area)Walkways and steps to slides have damaged concrete. Extremely sore on young bear feet. The price of food onsite is totally RIDICULOUS. €16 for nuggets / €16 Burger and only basic fast food at that. Conclusion: If it's not really hot, don't go and when you do bring a picnic. 😉

Ois?n McLaughlin — Google review

The place is nice and has a lot of facilities for kids. Personally I would put the difference of money and go to Siam park -that is the real deal. We went to this one as we had some spare time and it was nice. Take care at some of the slides - we got hurt on 2 of them, one hurt my back and the other my feet. The water was salty and quite high prices for food and drinks.I would say the dolphin show is a must see and so is the wave pool. It is small but nice for a day a the pool. The cleaning lacks a bit and so does tje safety.

Anda Codreanu — Google review

Great water park especially for younger kids. We went with a 10 and 6 year old, they had the best day. You have to pay for your sun loungers and lockers also. Food and drink is expensive to buy. Many people had brought packed lunches. You also have free access to the dolphin show which is absolutely fantastic. For a family of 4 we paid €102 for our tickets. The best thing is if you want to go for a second day in a row I'm sure it was only €12 per adult and kids were 6 I think.

Jennifer Shinners — Google review

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing visit! Much like the siam Park a week ago, even though the siam Park had nice warm water, it was far too crowded and busy. This was the opposite! Freezing cold water but pretty much empty and for good reason! Most of the young children's areas were closed for maintenance, so virtually nothing for under 120cm to do! We booked online, and this was not mentioned on the website or when we arrived at the entrance. When we left the park about 90 minutes after entering and having 1 trip around the lazy river I complained at the entrance, and we were then shown a tiny little notice in the corner of a window hardly visible about the closed areas! Disgusting how they can charge a full price ticket when a large area is closed for young kids, this is the only reason we went. Then, a female member of staff had the cheek to try and charge you extra for sunbeds! 4 euros for a front row seat and 2 euros for any others. We kept getting harrased to pay whilst my children sat and tried to eat their lunch, which I refused to and said we were leaving once they had eaten! This park had supposed to be refurbished in the last few years and not to a good standard! Freezing cold water, which is far too cold for toddlers and lots of broken walkways and footpaths, which, if not wearing footwear, could easily injure or cut your feet on. Even the jacuzzi area water was freezing cold! Avoid!

This is a great place for a family day out. There is something for all ages. The youngest in our party was 5 and she did not stop the whole day. Our eldest was 56 and she was happy on the lazy river and in the tide pool. The others all enjoyed the fast rides. The place is lovely and clean. You have to pay extra for the sunbeds and the food is expensive but they don't mind if you take your own in. Dolphin show is a must!

location and view better then the place itself , for baby’s like 2 years old they have slides not take care mostly all of them so old and have some scratches & roasts , also the pool so so cold 🥶 even my feet where freezing , if I’ll choose what place next time to go it would be Siam park for sure ! Also for beds you have to pay 2 or 4 euro each depends what bed you choose

Child under 1.2m Be warned. There is not a single slide in this park that a parent can ride on with Their young child. We were shouted at by lifeguards where no signs existed telling you about adult cannot ride. If you are a single parent this would be impossible to supervise your child to the top of the slide and then simultaneously meet them at the bottom as you may not ride ahead or behind or with them down the slide. This is very poorly thought out. The slides are big strong sturdy slides, absolutely no reason why an adult should not be allowed to use them. Out child was very upset that he had to do everything on his own! Also the water is not well heated so a young child will struggle on anything but the hottest days. To top it off, there is nowhere to sit and relax without having to pay extra to use a sunbed after having paid high entry fees. I have been to lots of water parks and never known such a stupid rule that the parent may not ride with the child! Ruined the experience and not worth the money. Two adults tickets paid to supervise a child and not have any fun yourself!

Warrick Lansdell — Google review

The park is clean and well-maintained and rides are good but the park is not well signposted at all - we ended up missing a few of the rides and didn't see them until we were leaving.Food quality was OK but not a lot of variety and it was expensive. The lockers were very expensive at EUR 6.00 each for a small locker (the only size) and they work by an electronic 6-digit pin which you get on a small piece of paper - obviously this will get ruined if it gets wet so you either pay even more money for one of their sealed cases for your phone and keen the PINs in that, or write them on your arm and hope for the best.Dolphin show was pretty good.Overall a good day out but some more signposts/maps would have helped a lot.

The Las Aguilas Jungle Park on Tenerife Island is a spacious wildlife park with suspension bridges and waterfalls, featuring over 500 animals from diverse species. The park offers family-friendly entertainment through live animal shows that are well-organized and informative, showcasing the trainers' extensive knowledge of various animal species. Visitors can enjoy watching raptors soar overhead during the Birds of Prey show.

Jungle park is an amazing and beautifully landscaped animal park with a large variation of birds, primates, reptiles and plant life. If you like birds you should definitely pay this park a visit! The birds of prey show is one of the best we have seen. The animals are well cared for.Great park to visit with (small) children since they are able to meet the animals up close. Our boy liked the guinea pigs, monkeys and sea lions best.Be aware that this park might offer a challenge for people with walking difficulties; you will walk a lot and via some steep routes.

Maikel Mocking — Google review

You run the gauntlet of up-selling immediately upon entry here (multiple 'experiences' costing between 1.5-2.5 times the admission fee, then through the gift shop, and past typical park restaurant before finally reaching the park itself) - it felt like being blasted with in-app purchase spam, for an app I'd already bought!Once you get past that, the day out was enjoyable enough though, and the park is a good size, but not so overwhelming to see in half a day like some of the larger parks. With kids in tow, the highlight of the day (for them) was of course the bobsleigh ride (€4 per go around) which they all HAD to do multiple times. In fairness, it's a decent size, so not over in a couple of seconds.Birds of prey show was interesting. Sea lion show a bit run of the mill though and lacking anything unique.Visited on a Tuesday and the crowds were low, so happy on that front.Parking at the entrance is €4 but there is ample free parking on the roads surrounding either side of the park also.Views from up on the hill are worth the trip also!

John Rix — Google review

Really good family day out at Jungle Park!We bought the twin ticket with Aqualand. Both brilliant days out. The birds of prey show is a must! And the lemur walk through! We loved it, highly recommend!Tips - take your own food in a cool bag for picnic, much cheaper! And the staff are really strict on no photos/videos in the areas where they take the professional photos (like Eagle holding photo) so don't even try or the staff will just be really off with you.

Jodie Parkinson — Google review

Had a lovely time. The animals were great lots of different ones. The bird show was excellent and very cool that they were up close to the audience. The sea lion show was good and the food in the restaurant over looking the sea lions was very nice. Not cheap, food drinks etc. The orchids were stunning and smelt great. All the animals looked well cared for.

Claire Wedlake — Google review

Great place to go with kids! The footpaths are well sheltered by trees so lots of shade to keep cool in. Some really good shows to watch and the Lemur walkthrough is great; you get really close to some very friendly Lemurs.Great restaurant looking over the Sea Lion show area so if you time it right, you can get a great meal whilst you watch. Prices slightly high, but where isn’t at a place like this. However the quality and potion size redeems this completely.Only thing stopping it being 5* was a lower number of animals than maybe expected. Some on road parking outside of the car park if you want to avoid the €4 parking fee.

Sam Stoddart — Google review

Was really good. staff are lovely shows are great and lots to see. The only thing that let's it down is the extra costs when inside for the bob sleigh. also photos are a little overpriced and food a drinks are very pricey as rhe same with all parks really. definitely recommend a visit.

Jeanette Cooke — Google review

Well worth a visit. Reasonably priced. If eating in the restaurant be prepared to pay a bit more but food was very nice. Great time had by all and kids loved it which is what it's all about.

Jungle Park Tenerife is a beautiful place. The lush tropical setting, incredible variety of wildlife, and captivating shows make it a perfect time for us. From the vibrant parrots to penguins, monkeys and seals, every moment is filled with wonder.Unfortunately, we couldn't see a few animals as they weren't in their enclosures. The biggest disappointment was the Lemur contact exhibit, which we were looking forward to, but there wasn't a single Lemur there.Don't miss the thrilling bird of prey demonstrations! The park's commitment to conservation and education is commendable.A day here is a day well spent!

Marek Karácsony — Google review

Almost perfect day for me and my family. The only bad thing was the rude older lady trying to sell pictures by the exit. Don't get my wrong, I bought 5 pictures however she was saying bad and nasty things about us and other guests thinking that no one understands Spanish. I do not speak Spanish very well however I know all of the nasty words she used. Apart from this the day was perfect. Two stars went away because of this lady. We walked away from the park feeling bad after this perfect day and sat quietly in the bus the whole way to the hotel. The kids do not want the pictures in their rooms after we came home because of this experience. 5 pictures now in drawer that no one enjoys. Our third trip to Jungle park was definitely the last, thank you lady!

Björn Ólafsson — Google review

Fantastic place to see a variety of animals. There are several well orchestrated shows hosted by trainers who share an abundance of interesting facts from their evidently extensive knowledge on the species that they specialise in.I especially liked the Birds of Prey show where several raptors come soaring just a few inches overhead. In close proximity to Las Americas. Cost around €12 in a taxi as the time of writing this review.

Sam Shepherd — Google review

Had an amazing trip to the Jungle! Lots of animals to see, they seem well taken care of (though I feel bad for the American Bald Eagles who really don’t seem to have a nice life) and there is also lots of wildlife living in the zoo’s wonderful greenery. We went in November on a weekday and had no wait. Beware, Thrillopia same-day tickets were not processed in time and the reservation number is not enough to gain admission, (we are still waiting on a refund) so we paid again but the lady had compassion and gave us a much appreciated discount. We took a taxi up, and Taxis were lined up when we left, so no issue getting home. Highly recommend! We missed most of the shows because we didn’t arrive until after lunchtime, but still spent 3 hours (and lots of walking) poking around.

Sara Schmidt — Google review

First I would like to say that we visited during the slow season. The last week of April. This makes a huge difference because the park has small paths in some areas. There was no line to get tickets or enter. We used our own transportation to get there. Also If you are not a fan of seeing animals or birds confined or possibly chained then this place is not for you. This is a "zoo", not a nature reserve. That being said this place was a nice experience. "FYI" download the fee map with the scan code at the entrance or you could miss something. The park was very clean and it and the animals appeared to be well maintained. Take lots of pics you will thank yourself later. Enjoy! Lots of exotic plants around the landscape and areas to take family photos.

NY Jett32 — Google review

Much superior to your typical zoo. The layout of the place means it never feels too crowded and you always feel like you are exploring it not following a set route. You can really get up and close to many of the animals aswell.

Joseph Sanders — Google review

We were as a family of 4.We were here 12 years ago and this time we were much disappointed than last time.1. They don't offer any maps only a QR code to download on your phone(how about old people??? How about people that don't have phones?Let's say you want to protect the environment and you do not want to print maps. The question is why you print 10-12 photos of all families that come into the zoo and then you keep the 10€ price for all photos. Who do you belive will pay 120 € for some zoo photos? Then you take them to the trash. So the question is where are you saving money or the environment?2. The parrot show was not operational at all.3. Everything is made to buy from inside, although the entree fee is not quite small - we payed 108€ for a family with 2 small kids.4. The pray bird show and the sealion show were very nice, only that we didn't have any shade(it was a very warm day - 30° Celcius).5. Most of the animals seemed to be like they were upset or sad.

Ciprian TL — Google review

Mixed feelings about this place.Clean and nicely done the whole place but..Eagles are chained to the grownd and can’t fly at all. Hard to see them trying.Photos taken with parrot and eagle made us sad. Hope the money goes to the animals.Would have needed a map to know where to go and see all, I think we missed some animals. It was a hot day, few palces to eat and drink. Animals had chances to go into the shade if needed.

Kirsi Ollanketo — Google review

First off, we purchased the tickets online. The website gave the impression the tickets were better value online. This was not the case as on arrival the advertised prices were the exact same. €32 per adult is overpriced for what is on offer. On arrival, we noticed the parking was an additional €4 and while we paid the additional charge for the convenience, I feel this is a bit of a money grab. There is free parking located a few minutes walk away. The actual park itself is nice, with a decent selection of animals and some beautiful planting throughout. This offers some decent shade from the sun which is a plus.Everything within the park is overpriced. Pizzas were approximately €15. The photographs are €10 each with no digital copy and no discount for multiple purchases.Overall, a good park but certainly out to get as much money as possible out of you during your visit.

Tomas Barrett — Google review

A nice location, it seems that you are in a rain forest with a good variety of animals. The shows with birds and sea lions should not be missed. There is also a terrace when you can buy refreshments.Big parking space, 4 euro/day.It’s not so big in 3-4 hours you can visit everything.Definitely worth to visit this place.

Alexandru Beu — Google review

Pretty average. They don’t have a lot of animals so just set your expectations low. It’s a very cozy setting, so great for kids. The Birds of Prey show and the sea lion show were good. The food (we had lunch at the restaurant by the sea lion show) was very meh. The directions are a bit confusing and we are pretty sure we missed some spots but saw some other attractions more than once.If you are driving, it’s better to park outside and save the 4 euros. They have a disclaimer right at the entrance that says they are not responsible for any damages so there is no real advantage of parking “inside”. There is plenty of free parking outside and it’s just a few steps to the entrance.

Harikrishnan V — Google review

A good day out for the kids, the bird show is amazing the keepers seem to care and are very knowledgeable. The park was clean and tidy and seemed well kept. The big cats they had years ago are gone which is probably for the best, some of the birds could have bigger enclosures like the condor.

Ser Woody — Google review

I had not been here for a number of years, and it seems to have gone a little downhill. There seems to be a lot fewer animals than last time, and the enclosures are still far too small for a few animals, especially the sea lions. The food was ok but very overpriced compared to other parks i have visited. The birds didn't seem to get much flying time and spent most of the day stationary. The highlight of the day was the jungle raid assault course and the Bob sleigh ride. It's quite hard to get around in some areas if you have a pushchair or disabled and have to take some longer routes around the park. But it's still worth a visit if the money goes to safeguarding endangered animals.

Michael — Google review

I've visited on weekday, pretty chill with no crowd. Had no wait times anywhere. The place is ok, specialized in birds with a few activities for kids like summer bob, jungle track etc. I've had the unfortunate luck to miss the bird show because one of the specialists had a personal emergency. The big downside is the price which is a little bit too pricey for what they offer.

The beach Playa de la Arena is a popular cove with a wide stretch of black sand, plus restaurants, bars and beach chair rentals. It is well maintained, with the surrounding area being well kept.

Clean, Black sand beach. You can sleep on your towels or pay 4eur to use sunbed all day. Went there 2 times - both times was Red flag becouse of big waves. The lifegard is on place.

Madara Stankus — Google review

Beautiful setting, accessed by steps or slope for less able to the black sand beach. Sun beds and parasols for hire at a reasonable rate. Lifeguard on watch as the waves can be quite big.Close to shops, restaurants and bars literally across the road.Parking on the road side but you need to be there early for a space.Definitely worth a visit.

Nice little find near Los Giagantes. Beach was clean with attentive guys running the beach services. Toilets available. Reasonably priced parasol and sunbed €4 per item. Bar, shops and restaurants nearby

Beautiful black sand beach, with many rocks on the right side. Nice to watch the sunset there. Perfect spot

Ron Breeuwer — Google review

Stunning black sand beach which is enclosed so the waves are not as bad. Suitable for buggies with access ramps and timber paths in the sand. Located close to plenty of shops and restaurants. Well worth checking out. Sunbeds and umbrellas available for an additional charge.

Tomas Barrett — Google review

Beautiful beach with black volcanic sand. Could be quite crowded during the main hours though.

Charming small black sand Beach .However. Confident swimmers only . Strong waves and undercurrent.

Andy S Morse — Google review

Very well equipped beach. Very attentive lifeguards. Affordable sun-beds (one sun-bed 4 eur, one umbrella 4 eur). Bathrooms were clean and cost 0,20 eur. There are outdoor showers. Very fine sand. The sea was very wild when we visited, it was forbidden to swim.

Dominika Nosková — Google review

Very nice beach, maintained. With possibility of having a meal and drink in several places very close. It was possible to rent a bed and sunbrella, toilets are old but clean, it is possible to get a proper shower for a fee, which is very convenient as the black sand is very sticky and visible on you.The surrounding area is well maintained.

M Voigts — Google review

Beautiful :) we took a swim, but it can be dangerous if you're not a got swimmer... The guard warns you if big waves are coming in...

andraz leitgeb — Google review

A beautiful, scenic beach surrounded by plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars. The lifeguards are over the top however, with almost everyday day being fed flagged. The sea was not crazy today (I could comfortably float on my back behind the breaker waves), but the lifeguards whistled me out. Disappointing if you want to actually swim.

Matt Mcc — Google review

Beautiful volcanic beach. The sand is black, but be aware that it realy burns durring the day, so do not walk barefoot. The water is wonderful and the landscape amazing. Interesting experience.

alexandra c. — Google review

This place is amazing! The beach slopes down so steeply that you get some incredible waves. And everyone just stands in the water waiting to be picked up and thrown down by them. Free entertainment! The lifeguard is certainly kept busy but does a brilliant job. Beach itself is fab and just perfect for a fun day out.

Julia Ruane — Google review

Nice small beach with very beautiful views. Unfortunately today it was a red flag because of jellyfish😱

Olena Yerunova — Google review

4€ per sun lounger and umbrella, black sand beach. Be careful with the tides as they can be overwhelming, but it's fun! There are showers to wash yourself initially from the black sand, however don't get fulled - when having shower back in your hotel, you'll get a sandbox! Black sand gets very hot, so flip-flops are must when walking on dry sand!

Łukasz Dżoń (Johnny) — Google review

Beautiful small black sand beach. We had a nice time enjoying the strong waves here and especially watching them with los gigantes in the background. Be careful with the currents here. There is a lifeguard here who makes sure no one is drowning.

Great to see a bar featuring live music so prominently. Great if you enjoy classic rock and co*cktails. Good service. I found the drinks to be a little too sweet.

Been coming here for more years than I care to remember, excellent entertainment if you like classic rock music. Staff are great and work like hero's. Bands rotate regularly and are generally excellent. There is a strict midnight cut off to protect the living dead in the local hotels. In short, the best entertainment venue in the area.

wayne adshead — Google review

Not sure what's happened here, used to have a decent house band during the week (closed Wednesday) and guests on a weekend but it's all changed.Last couple of times we've been it's a single acoustic guitarist or a working mens club style karaoke singer with songs to boot. Not a 'rock bar' anymore...

SandJ — Google review

No need to go if you’re staying in a neighbouring hotel - the out of tune singers who “sing” every generic holiday pub song known to man can be heard all around town. Dreadful!Update two days later: more unbearably loud tack from chav central. Tonight is a singer who sounds like he’s vomiting!

Stuart Wall — Google review

Another brilliant night out there tonight. Stumbled upon this bar on an evening walk on our second night of the holiday. The music was live, and was not too loud that you couldn't have a conversation with someone. We had walked past a few that were just too noisy. The co*cktails are a must, delicious! Prices are reasonable and slightly less than at home. They have air hockey tables and pool table outside so good for kids also and they seemed to be very welcoming to all ages.

Loved it! We did the 3 hour boat trip. Lunch was good and they brought you unlimited drinks. Seen dolphins and the man can tell you everything about it in different languages. Also a stop for swimming where you can use the swing to get off the boat. The staff was very nice and sweet. I really want to do it again by Flipper Uno!

Sanne van Oest — Google review

Excellent tour.We saw a lot of migrating dolphins, seagals and the clifs from the most beautiful perspective. The guides were very informative in many languages. Allowed us to swim and gave us a beer.Very nice afternoon :)

Pretty nice and fun to do. We didn’t see many animals just some dolphins 🐬We as a family of four had a great time though and the best part was swinging off the boat to the ocean.

Really enjoyable trip from Los Gigantes, 2 man crew were great, saw dolphins, whales and a swim in a bay.Boat not crammed with people,so space to move about. Highly recommended

Colin Bell — Google review

We had an absolute whale of a time! The staff was very entertaining and friendly and constantly looked after us and made sure that everybody enjoyed themselves. We saw plenty of dolphins and the staff continually were pointing them out to us and explaining all about them (in 4 languages by one person!) They were also absolutely fantastic with the children! Make sure that you bring some cash with you (we unfortunately didn't) so you can tip them at the end because you very likely really want to. Thank you for the amazing afternoon we had!

We had a great time on the Masca Express! It was a last minute decision and by far the best thing we did at Los Gigantes. We saw loads of dolphins & even a whale and her pup! The crew was really friendly and told us what species we were seeing. The swimming was brief, but fun. It was a perfect length at 2 hours. Would recommend to anyone.

Heather Hill — Google review

"Let's go on a pirate boat ride" the wife suggests. It was a bit overcast and I was feeling a little blah. Well, between the awesome crew getting us fired up and the seemingly bottomless beers, I was ready to load the cannons and raid a local cruise ship that was passing by. By the end of it, we had food and were doing shots out of an old leather water bag. We even got to swing off the boat. Great time in the end.

Robbie Brown — Google review

Brilliant trip out to see some pilot whales, great weather and hospitality. Although boat was very crowded even in early October! Food and drinks on board but would have liked a longer tour… I saw most operators in the area only do 2-3 hour trips as well

Philippa Alton — Google review

Me and my family would like to say big thanks to all the crew of Flipper Uno. Tour was very pleasant, on a beautiful boat, with incredible scenery of Los Gigantes, dolphins spotting, swimming in Masca beach, drinks and paella onboard..Everything was really wonderful , we had great time and fun with you. Gracias !

Radim Pancocha — Google review

Incredible experience we had with Flipper Uno boat - sailing on the coast of Los Gigantes, seeing whales and dolphins and taking a bath on the coast. We had very good paella and drinks included and amazing good time for three hours on the boat.

Gabriela Sarbu — Google review

We went on the evening 17:30. Around 42 people onboard with plenty of space!Amazing experience, the crew are great and look after you. Rope swing into the sea, dolphins jumping next to the boat!If you feel sick on boats... you'll be sick on this one. They have sick bags, drinks and toilet roll to clean you up 🤣No food on the smaller cruise but great experience. If you buy online you can park on the harbour. I paid €6 for parking from 17:00 - 20:00 and €90 for the boat with 2 adults 2 kids and 1 under 2.I'd do it again!

Roque Cinchado is a renowned volcanic formation situated roughly 1700 meters beneath the summit of Teide volcano. This extraordinary location boasts stunning rocks, lava stones, and surrealistic formations that resemble another planet, evoking "star wars/trek" vibes. The hike to Roque Cinchado is relatively easy but involves some moderate rocky and steep terrain. The area offers a spectacular view of El Teide and the valley, making it an excellent recommendation for hiking enthusiasts who enjoy breathtaking scenery.

Beautiful yes. But way too many people. Of course I was one of them :) Expect difficulty parking, but take your time to take in the widespread vistas.

Very nice view on teide and surrounding areas!

Do yourself a favor and come as early as possible, before 10am. Prepare for a 1h15min march, not possible without proper hiking shoes.

An amazing place with beautiful Rocks, Lava Stones and some really surrealistic formations. All the time fantastic View to el Teide and the valley. I recommend warm clothes also when the sun is shining, because the Wind can be very chill. Very recommendable!

Mountain cable car

Teleferi Teide is a cable car ride that offers stunning views of the Canary Islands from Spain's highest volcano. Guided tours to the platform can be booked in advance, but even without a tour guide, visitors can still enjoy the ride. The friendly staff at the counter provide refunds for cancelled tours. The breathtaking view at the top is easily accessible via well-maintained paths with ample opportunities for photography.

We booked the tickets (guided tour to platform) two months in advance. However, the day before the trip. We received a text message that the tour guide is not available but that we still can take the cable car. Thus, we drove there and went to the counter. The man was friendly and said that we will get the refund transferred to the credit card. The ride to the peak was OK. However, the view at the top was breath taking. It was the best thing that the tour guide wasn't there. The paths are super easy to walk and we had enough time to take pictures wherever we wanted.

Stefan F. — Google review

Oh, man, this place is perfect. A lot of parking, everything is well organised and fast moving. You just need to have a ticket (buy online) and you're good. The travel to the upper station takes about 7 minutes and you stay there for an hour, but nobody controls you, so I guess you can stay a bit longer, because we didn't manage to walk both paths in an hour. One and a half hours would be perfectly enough, I think. The paths, all amenities and the staff are very good, you feel safe all the time!

Ernest Brk — Google review

Amazing experience of being on 3555m above the sea level. The views are very beautiful and impressive.Tips:- Book tickets at least few days in advance- Take some warm clothes as even when down was 35 degrees on top was 18 / 19- Download online audio guide in advance, it provides some interesting info that it is interesting to listen while walking- Use a lot of SPF cream - you can get burned very quickEnjoy 😉

Cristian — Google review

This was a whole day trip with the company that make trips to Teide and the cable car. The trip was smooth and all was working, actual drive by cable car is fast (8 minutes), and you can spend 1 hour at upper station.Weather was nice, and looks from the trip are amazing, although you can't climb to actual to of the hill without purchase of special limited permission.Anyway you can see lots of Tenerife, and maybe also neighbor islands.

Michal Bačík — Google review

Absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful!Booked trip tickets on the day (you can buy them only online), checked website for updates as recommended on the email, traveled there (1,5h each way) ... and they not let anyone in to the cars as something freeze on the top station.DEAR STAFF I think you are absolutely disrespectful to all tourists coming this morning to go on the top! You could easily put some information on you website that they are some technical difficulties (we would understand that, health and safety always first) with cars/cables whatever was frozen there. You could save our time and money by simple message on the website (or email) which you advertised in booking email as a source of updates.

Paw El — Google review

Wow, this is like driving around on Mars. The scenery is amazing. It's an incredible drive up to the base of the volcano, driving through the clouds, and when you get there you can go all the way to the top with the cable car. Unfortunately when we went it was to windy, so don't make the mistake we made and call up front to see if the cable car is operational. Also make sure you have enough fuel because the car likes to drink on the way up. There is a restaurant there also with a souvenir shop and toilets which are very clean as wel. The tickets for the cable car are only available online. Enjoy this very mysterious en out of this world experience

Richard Smit — Google review

Would recommend to book tickets in advance and to go early. We booked a guided tour for time slot 9h50 am.Unfortunately because of the weather our guide was cancelled, we were only informed of this an hour in advance. A message stated we could request a refund for the guide on site or rebook to another day.We decided to still visit without the guide. On site the staff spoke barely to no English, and they couldn’t inform us on how to receive the refund. So we will mail to hopefully get our money back.No waiting time to go up the Teide. You have 1h max when you are up to visit the 2 trails. This will however take around 1,5h (for 2 people that walk regularly), because of the difficult walking path. There was an audio guide which you could download free of charge with your booking number. Unfortunately when we did this, the app of the audio guide stated our booking was expired, so we weren’t able to listen to the audio guide. So for organization 2/5, beauty and nature 5/5.

It is best to book online in advance as tickets sell out on busy days. It is extremely high up and is always very cold so bring trousers, jumpers and coats. The path to the top is rough volcanic rock. The cable car trip is great with fantastic views and the staff are very helpful. The cafe is good as are the shops. Well worth the trip.

Lynda Barron — Google review

Amazing experience. Weather was on our side and we were able to take the cable car through the clouds and walk to the summit. Boyfriend nearly passed out twice because the air is so thin. It was 4 degrees or something up there. Amazing views

abbi droz — Google review

We actually stayed at the base and didn't use the cable, because all tickets were sold out and the reservations were made online. So if you want a full experience, buy the tickets online. The view is spectacular, the landscape is magnificent.

Andreea M — Google review

Expensive for tourists (single €21, return €37). All booked through their clear and concise online portal. What you do get for your money is a modern, reliable, regular, quality service with splendid views of the alien Tenerife environment.NOTE: The food at their cafe is sublime. They stock quality goods in all their shops.

David Clarke — Google review

We went on a Jet2 excursion to the volcano in late December.Cable car facility was well managed. Free toilet, cafe and shop.Thrilling trip up and down with great views. Not too rocky in cable car.Views were great at the top.The temperature wasn't that bad. I do recommend a coat and trousers. The paths are a bit rocky so good footwear is needed. We found it harder to deal with the thin air. It is a lot harder to walk around. The effect is subtle and it takes a while before you start to feel heavy legged and a bit out of breath.Well worth it though. It's not every day you are 11,660 feet high (3,555 metres).

Bob Craske — Google review

Brilliant experience, well worth a visit. Bought tickets after scanning the bar code. Fantastic views from the ride up in the cable car which takes 42 people at once. Uneven terrain up at the top so wear comfortable shoes, not sandals and a jacket needed as cool at the top. Views are spectacular on a clear day and saw snow still sat on the tops.

Yvonne Green — Google review

Cool experience with breathtaking views (if you're lucky with the weather). They have timed tickets to buy in advance, make sure to book them online a few days in advance as the preferred slots sell out rather fast. Took an early one (9:40am) which meant i almost had the park to myself, and parking was a breeze. When i came back down, the parking, was full. So better go early. They say you only have 1 hr up on the peak (there are 2 trails, a third one to the absolute peak of el Teide requires a permit). It took me a bit more than an hr despite being reasonably fit, but it also didn't seem like they checked the 1hr limit at all. Might be different later in the day though

Alexander Fischer — Google review

If you visit Tenerife, you should definitely visit Teide. "Go and back" cable car ticket costs 40euro but it's worth spending money for such beautiful views.I was there in the early morning, so there were not many people and no que (I bought tickets online a few days before).Another advantage of early walk is no clouds and good clearance. It's a pity that we've been told we have to back in 1 hour, so we didn't have enough time to walk to the second viewpoint.Remember to take warm, windproof clothes and trekking/sport shoes.

Damian — Google review

Booked online for the exact hour. One day it didn't work because of the wind. The next day we made it. You might get dizzy at the top because of the lower pressure and less oxygen. One young lady lost consciousness. But the elderly people at the back made it. Worth visiting. There's a toilet at the top. The restaurant at the bottom is terrible only burgers drinks and sweets. No proper food like dinner.

Nature & Parks

Teide National Park is a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site located in central Tenerife, and is the largest and oldest national park in the Canary Islands. It features Spain's highest peak, Mount Teide, standing at 3,718m (12,198ft). The park's volcanic landscape comprises of lava fields, calderas and peaks. It also boasts diverse flora such as pine forests and green valleys.

Mount Teide, the highest peak in Spain and the third largest active volcano. What an amazing day. The drive up is exciting as the roads are windy with steep cliffs. The views out over the island are fabulous. The volcano stands well above the lava fields and is so impressive. There was 1.5m of snow on the peak, so we're unable go on the cable car. Definitely recommend visiting; it's a must do and wear something warm.

One of the most interesting and unique landscapes on the planet. You can drive through the crater of one of the world's largest volcanoes and have a once in a lifetime experience. If you love nature and geology there are few places in the world that are more exciting than this. You can walk among ancient lava fields and see all sorts of different minerals and rocks. It's truly the highlight of my Tenerife trip. If you plan to take the cablecar up to the top, make sure you book it in advance as chances are you cannot buy a ticket for the same day.

Visiting Teide national park was truly an unforgettable experience! It resembles a landscape straight out of Mars, with its unique beauty. Being in such close proximity to a magnificent volcano is simply awe-inspiring.This memory will forever be etched in my mind. The surrounding nature and the sight of lava rocks further enhanced the overall experience. Additionally, the insights shared by our tour guide added an extra layer of enjoyment to the trip.

Lovely area for hiking, spectacular views. Maps of various routes shown at parking spots, easy to follow trails with a variety of distances.Worth taking a jacket as colder weather in the mountains.Great roads for cycling. You can take a cable car up to the top of the volcano but recommend booking ahead €37 per person.

What an amazing beautiful Volcano which you can drive/ motorbike or coach trip around.. View points to stop at.. There is a cable car ride but we didn't do as so busy. You can also do by night.. Up top is a beautiful well done picnic area.. The whole of this national park is amazing and really worth doing. So breath taking and is a must to do

It's beautiful, we went on an organised tour costing €27 each for a half day, interesting commentary right through lots of opportunities to stop for photos around Teide, this does not include the cable car to the top, which does not always run, (ours didn't as it was too windy) also you can't go to the very top anymore without specific permission to do so.

Ian Bouquet-Taylor — Google review

We took the cable car up here and the views were amazing. But you have to book the tickets in advance, there was no chance in getting in spontaneously. It’s super cold and windy up there!

Get ready to be amazed! Feast your eyes on the awe-inspiring view of the majestic volcano Mount Teide. Its towering presence and breathtaking beauty will leave you in complete awe and wonder. If you're looking for an unforgettable adventureduring your holiday, then you absolutely cannot miss hiking Mount Guajara. The stunning view from the top is worth every bit of the challenging trek, and trust me, this experience will leave you with unforgettable memories. I strongly urge you to add this hike to your itinerary and embark on this adventure that you won't regret.

Very beautiful place. Many breathtaking views all though the way to top of Teide. I do recommend to take w full hike. Its not so hard, even for a person who is not in great shape (I sit 10h in front of computer every day and I managed to go though all way up ). Remember to take hiking shoes and something warm, it can be really cold up there. The whole hike (through La Rambleta to the top) took about 5h. The cable car can be closed due to strong wind so check it out before you go anywhere :)

Wojciech W?odarczyk — Google review

Amazing view! But cabins are overcrowded. At the top there are several routes, so you can choose any - all of them beautiful. It's quite cold, so have a hat and a t-shirt with you. Also sunglasses would be extremely useful.

Excursion, Teide by night. Fantastic trip up to Mt Teide to view the volcano and surrounding lave fields. Enjoyed an amazing sunset, albeit shared with hundreds of others. Then, we enjoyed the incredible night sky, unspoilt by light pollution.

Really nice loop trek, easy walking even with kids, few rocks to step over, at the end is quite steep hike, but nothing dramatic. You can see some butterflies, birds and many lizards. Preferably go morning to avoid crowds and easily park.

Whether you're exploring its rugged terrain on foot, marveling at the diverse flora and fauna, or simply taking in the awe-inspiring vistas, the Teide National Park never fails to leave a lasting impression. It's a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventurers alike..

Nina Jovanovski — Google review

Spectacular drive from the North, very busy when you get to the volcanic plateau. No room to pull in at viewpoints, even in January. Book ahead for cable car. There is quite a quick turnaround of people at the cable car, so you should find parking.Base a bit disappointing, I thought there would be better views from the base station. Adequate cafe.8 mins for 1200m ascent, quite spectacular. 8t is quite crowded. Was surprised how much the altitude affected me, even the short walk to the viewpoint made me dizzy, and I'm normally quite fit! Only allowed 1 hour at the top which isn't long if you walk to the viewpoint. The views are truly stunning. It is expensive, but worth it.

Li Fi — Google review

Our planned summit tour was canceled due to strong winds, leading us to explore all sides of the Teide Park without lengthy hikes. If you're not planning extended hikes, you can explore and witnessing both the beautiful highland and volcanic terrain with pine tree parks in the north, and the more rocky, Mars-like atmosphere in the south. Visiting both sides ensures you experience the diverse beauty Teide Park has to offer.

Vladislav Barkovskij — Google review

Go early for maximum fulfillment, also not so crowded at the hiking trails. Dress properly cause weather can change at 2400m altitude.South entrance is the shortest, North entrance the most scenic views. Bring drinks and food but don't leave it in the NP.

richard erpelinck — Google review

We took quad bikes up to the park and we had beautiful views. Dress warm because it gets chilly at this altitude. Make sure you sit and take it all in. It truly is gorgeous.

Must see! We booked the cable car + a guided tour to Pico Viejo viewpoint. We recommend you book the rides in advance as we didn't and waited for an hour for the next one. Time flew by as it was a wonderful scene! There is a separate line for the one with a tour guide and a "VIP" bracelet, but there is no difference from standard tickets. The stations have a QR code where you can listen to the description. Make sure to drink water and dress warmly. They have clean restrooms so don't be stingy on hydrating. The high altitude will make you palpitate. Enjoy!

Volcano

Nature & Parks

Mount Teide is an active volcano in Spain and is the highest peak in the country, standing at a height of 3,718m. It offers beautiful views through an aerial cable car and has various hiking trails to explore. In Tenerifes UNESCO-listed Teide National Park, you can find Los Roques de Garcia, a collection of uniquely shaped rocks created by ancient volcanic activity.

My 7th year in Tenerife and finally went to Teide! What a lovely place to visit!I went on a tour, so we we’re pretty rush, and only really had 1h up on the top (you can take a very expensive - nearly 40€ - trip to the top), and have 3 pathways - pico viejo, fortaleza and the very top.To get to the very top you need a special permit, that needs to be acquired months in advance, so I didn’t went there.I went to the fortaleza area and a tiny bit to the pico viejo, really had to rush.It is chilly up there, unless you are on the sun, but still it was 5 degrees celcius while at the cost where like 25.It has toilets up there as well as at the bottom we’re you catch the cable car. Both are very clean and free of charge. This is a must go!Please visit it, and get on a tour that explains everything about Teide and the island. Our tour was great on that. Here are a bunch of pictures.

We climbed Mt Teide in January and for my wife this was the first time ever climbing a high mountain (3715). We decided to walk from the bottom and all the way up. We dressed warm but could have brought better winterwear, hats and gloves. The night walk was cold. The flashlights didn’t give enough light. We reached the top before sunrise, and it was and is a magnificent view and experience. Definitely - worth the effort. Bring enough food and drinks for the whole trip. The camelback helped my wife not getting the high-altitude sickness.Drinking about 3 liters of water. The refuge place offered a vending machine (Around 3000m altitude), but wasn’t possible to book a bed and we could only sit down in the entrance. The smell at the top of sulfuric acid making you realize you are on one of the 3 highest volcano mountains in the world. The sunrise is awesome, but still cold. It is amazing how easy the walk down is in good sunlight, and making your body to warm up again the further down you get. We spend about 5-6 hours walking to the top, and only 2 hours running down. Good planning, enough food and clothing makes this an awesome experience. The coffee and lunch in the near village was good after working up an appetite.

Our vacation on the island of Tenerife was also dominated by a visit to the highest peak in Spain. We had a rental car. The ride was pleasant, but it was a very hot July day, so we also suffered. But the landscape is interesting.

Bogdan Marcelan — Google review

What a beautiful experience it was. It was more than we expected before we drove up. We didn’t go far up to teide as we booked an excursion. It can also get cold so warm clothes needed. I’d also recommend waiting till after dark so you can see the beautiful stars in the sky.

If you can hike it from the bottom - do it! Have enough water and energy bars to avoid altitude sickness and really good shoes. I climbed in January (around 5-6 hours) and had the entire winter clothing. Absolutely magnificent! There is also a cable car, but if you can, climb it, it’s absolutely breathtaking.

Alisa C — Google review

If you are going to Tenerife, Teide National Park is the one place you have to visit. Its best to rent your own car and tour round yourself. You need to book tickets for the cablecar to the top online a few weeks before going. If you want to walk right to the top, not only do you need to be fit, but you need to get the tickets months in advance as there are only a few per day.You can easily spend a couple of days up here, there is a lot more than Mount Teide to do, with various hiking trails and viewpoints. The key ones to find are Minas de San Jose and Teide Observatory, however I also really liked the hikes at Mirador de Samara. Its best to do hiking in the early morning and you see a lot of people up here before 7am. The other thing if you have your own car, is to come up here for sunset. The sunset on Mount Teide is amazing if you get the right weather. If you cannot get tickets for Mount Teide, Samara is a good alternative. You also find people up here with telescopes after dark. Its totally black up here and ideal for astronomy.Definitely recommend at least a visit to Mount Teide and if you have time, do some of the other hikes.

Amazing landscape and picture perfect location. It’ a drive but worth it in the end.Don’t forget sunscreen and water😉

Vincent Molina Y Moya — Google review

I absolutely adore this place, it's a must visit when on the island. Only downside, if you book pasess to go to the peak its a trail full of boulders to negotiate! 3 of us started the trail, my partner gave up with altitude sickness, I gave up because thetrail was too difficult, but my son made it to the top. Watch out for the strong smell of sulphur! Take a hire care and stop at all the vantage points along the way as the views are incredible.

Must visit!! It is amazing! But if it is a windy day the cable cart will be out of service “safety reasons” other than that, just by walking near that huge volcano is a breath taking itself! The pics you will see are from the plane when I landed in Tenerife and when i got there to visit.

Mike C — Google review

Need to book online if you want to go up in the gondola. Only allowed 1 hour at the top but it is long enough to visit the viewpoints. Bring warm clothes

Ian Martin — Google review

This is the highest place in Spain (3718 m) and one of the highest active vulcano in the world. If you like hiking I suggest to start from the montana Blanca parking lot. The route is amazing. You will need good clothes against the wind and the cold. Obviously the weather is depends on the seasons but important to have information about it. If the wind is strong the cable car is not working which is occurring quite frequently. So calculate that you have to walk down as well. However the view is so spectacular that really worth to visit it. During the last part of the trip you will need a permission! I will never forget this place because I engaged my bride here 😊❤️

G?za Selmeczy — Google review

Must buy ticket to cable car at least 2 days before! Recommend to come even if the cable car is closed… there is enough trails to be here even for 5 days!

???? ?????? — Google review

The view from the peak is fantastic. The path for the hike is beaten, clearly marked and easy to follow. I would totally recommend going up at night as it makes everything more magical. If you are planning to hike the whole length there prepare for a 1300mt elevation to climb, and in general a 20km (approx) journey. Go well equipped, with plenty of water, and protection from the cold.Getting to the peak before sunrise and sitting there to admire Dawn is one of my best experiences in Tenerife. In general, the length and the scarcity of oxigen might make this hike challenging so be prepared

Alessio Solar — Google review

I love the whole area and peak of the national teide park. It's such a great place for cycling and hiking in a beautiful country side.I try to cycle up to the park or do a hike up the teide. The parking areas are in my opinion tooooo small. I guess for the amount of tourists they're too small. And some tourists are stopping anywhere at anytime that makes it sometimes really difficult to cycle with cars passing by.

It was truly an experience of a lifetime! The view was incredible! Quite a bit of up and down hills for climbing at 3555m. So be prepared, we are generally quite fit but we found it a bit difficult at some points. There is clean toilet and some vending Machines for water. Although they said maximum one hour stay, but we needed a good 2.5hr to explore the majority of the top including the resting times from the climbing. They don’t really check how long you stay I think unless there is high traffic. When we first arrived (we took the first lift in the morning, highly recommended) it was really cold and windy, I was wearing quite a few layers and it felt like just warm enough (see how fluffy I dressed in the picture). Then starting around 10:30 as well as after some climbings, I was dying from the heat. It was ok to wear shorts and t shirt at this point. You will not survive without a pair of sunglasses btw! Next time we visit we would like to climb to the top with requires a permit reserved many months in advance on their website (free tho)We arrived at the parking 5 mins before 8:40 and there were plenty of parking space, by the time we came back down from the top around 11:30, the parking were completely full all the way to the very end. It looked like you need to walk for a good 5 mins uphill to reach the cable car. So glad we stayed at the hotel nearby it allowed us plenty of time to enjoy exploring the area and make changes to our journey according to the weather. Please take a look at my review for the hotel, please give a thumb up if you find my review helpful ☺️

Beautiful place. Best if you hire a car to view the Teide from different angles. Recommended for nature lovers and hikers. Kids won't enjoy it too much. Some more popular parking spaces are going to be full quite early morning.

It's hard to find a place on the island without a view of the volcano and its dominance undoubtedly creates a unique landscape of the island. Be sure to plan a trip to Teide National Park, you will find yourself in an absolutely fantastic place with landscapes truly from other planets.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! This is such an impressive and exciting place to visit! If you are planing to visit particularly Volcano and not only mountains - book everything online in advance (cable car tickets and permission to the peak of volcano Teide)The atmosphere here is truly gripping. When you get to a viewpoint by a cable car you are above clouds or even sky;) The mount feels huge and massive. When you take a look around you probably notice that it feels like Teide covers a whole island! I was feeling like I’m on Mars. From here you can observe not only Tenerife, but neighbor islands as well (if weather’s conditions are perfect). Here there are several trails leading to different view spots and you can see the top of Teide. But truly amazing experience begins if you reach the peak where you see or even feel the Volcano! To get there you should book a ticket in advance (cuz they do not allow to be there too many visitors at the same time, I had needed to book in 3 months on the website before visiting Teide) The trail to hike to the peak is around 700 meters long and 150m high. (Altitude on the top is around 3000m and it’s chilly there) I do remember hiking there at first seemed to be a simple journey, but the higher it gets the more difficult it takes you to breathe, so I had to make several stops on my way, though it was a good chance to take pictures and look around. From such a big height everything looks way differently. Finally when I got on the top I saw the crater. Luckily it was sleeping;) However, just having already gotten to the peak I was still walking on the trail when suddenly I felt warm steam coming through my legs. It appears that Teide is still breathing and alive! From the peak you can really discover breathtaking views! And this is exactly what is worth visiting for!I was there twice in 2019 in March and September. I do remember that in March it was sunnier, less cloudy, but noticeably colder - on the way to the peak it was around 0 degrees C and quite windy.A couple of tip I can give isBook a cable car ticket and permission to the peak online in advance, on arrive before hiking up to the peak you need to show a permission and passport (I had printed copies of both)Take on an appropriate pair of shoes and a warm clothes as well. The surface is rocky and sharp. On the top it’s significantly cold and windy.Overall, I highly recommend visiting Teide. That’s truly unbelievable feelings especially if you reach the crater.

Embarking on an adventurous trip to Mount Teide with my family in December was an experience that surpassed our expectations. Setting off from Adeje, the drive itself was a picturesque journey, gradually revealing the stunning landscapes of Tenerife. As we ventured deeper into Teide National Park, the beauty of the surroundings became increasingly captivating.Upon arrival, we were delighted to find ample free parking available, ensuring a convenient start to our exploration. The presence of a cafeteria offering panoramic views of the mountain provided an ideal spot to savor refreshments while soaking in the awe-inspiring scenery. Additionally, the convenience of two gift shops and clean restroom facilities enhanced our visit. The view from the park was nothing short of breathtaking. However, the weather was a reminder to dress warmly as the altitude brought chilly and windy conditions. Nevertheless, the mesmerizing view compensated for the brisk temperatures, offering an otherworldly perspective of Tenerife’s natural beauty.Despite the relatively high cost of tickets for the cable car, we found the ascent further up the mountain undeniably worth it. Upon reaching the top, the restriction of a one-hour maximum stay for health and safety reasons didn’t hinder the incredible experience. The panoramic vistas were simply astonishing, with clouds drifting below us, creating an almost surreal atmosphere that left us in absolute awe.Although the peak we reached wasn’t the very summit of the mountain, exploring the area allowed us to absorb the surrounding splendor. At one point, we were amazed to catch a glimpse of Crete from an elevation of 12, highlighting the stunning visibility from the mountain.Facilities such as restrooms at the top were a welcome convenience for visitors, and to our surprise, the presence of mobile network and internet connectivity was an unexpected but appreciated bonus, allowing us to stay connected even at such a high altitude. In summary, our visit to Mount Teide in December provided an unforgettable experience, showcasing spectacular views and offering unique perspectives of nature’s grandeur. Despite the higher-than-expected cost of the cable car tickets and the time limitation at the top, the sheer magnificence of the panoramic vistas and the unique vantage point made this trip an immensely fulfilling adventure for our family.”

The Teide on Tenerife is a true natural wonder that enchants and fascinates every visitor. When I entered the national park and saw the majestic Teide, I felt humbled and at the same time filled with a deep awe of nature. The roads that wind around Mount Teide feel like paths to a mysterious treasure. The volcanic landscape that spreads out before you is characterized by incomparable beauty. The contrasts between the rugged rocks, the colorful layers of rock and the seemingly endless expanse of the sky are simply breathtaking. During my hikes through the national park I was surprised by the diversity of flora and fauna. It's amazing to see how life goes to extremes

Pico Teide is the highest point in Spain at 3,718 meters (12,198 feet) above sea level and the third-tallest volcanic structure in the world from its base on the ocean floor.Access to the summit is limited to 200 persons a day and you need to apply for a permit (well in advance).A fairly popular approach to see the summit is to hike overnight and arrive at the summit for sunrise, but please only attempt this if the weather conditions are favourable, you have the proper experience and equipment as the hike is tough, at altitude and the mountains can be a cold and unforgiving place.Watching sunrise on Teide is magical, the mountain casts a large triangular shadow which is the largest shadow over-water on Earth. Incredible!

I think it is the perfect space if you just want to try out surfing for the fist time. It was so uncomplicated. Loro Parque is a zoo that has some of the most impressive animals in all of Europe, and it's considered to be one of the best zoos on the planet. The zoo has gorillas, tigers, penguins, and dolphins - just to name a few - and it's an incredible place to visit.

Amazing zooThere is a vast amount of animals and primates to see along with the amazing dolphin show and whale show.My kids were amazed at the size of the Whales and how they were able to do the tricks and soak the visitors.Myself and my partner were also really impressed. They had a large area to live and seemed well looked after and loved by there keepers. The dolphin show was really fun too and we were amazed how fast they were and how high they can leap out of the water .The other great highlights were the silver back gorillas and penguin enclosure. The gorillas were beautiful and posed for the camera. The penguin area did have a pretty bad smell but had staff spraying air freshener about .On the whole this is a very tidy and well kept zoo and I will visit again next time we go to Tenerife.Prices were reasonable with a coach to transport us to and from our hotel in the south of the island .We really could of done with 2 days at the park as there was so much to see and doThanks for reading and please give me a like and follow me

We visited the place after reading rave reviews about it and we're overall very happy. I would rate the visit 4.5 stars only because the gorilla and lions looked really sad. I am sure that they receive the best care, but it still did feel bad seeing the sadness in their eyes. Otherwise the place is amazing - really well maintained and you can tell that all the animals are getting the best care possible. We managed to see all the shows and each was great in it's own way and totally worth it. Like others pointed out - make sure to plan your visit in advance as it will otherwise be difficult to see everything. We really liked the parrot area, the jungle and shark tank. Overall it is totally worth the admission fee. There is also a combined ticket for 70euro for both Loro Park and Siam Par, which is a good deal if you plan on visiting both. It is worth noting that parking costs 5euro for the day,but it is easy to find free parking places around.

Loro Parque in Tenerife is an extraordinary zoo that deserves an exciting visit. This park is a true haven for animal lovers, offering a wide range of fascinating species from around the world. The facilities are modern and spacious, providing a comfortable environment for the animals. One of the most remarkable things about Loro Parque is the dolphin and orca shows. These intelligent and magnificent creatures showcase their amazing abilities, leaving everyone in awe. Additionally, the parrot performances are entertaining and engaging, providing a display of vibrant colors and astonishing skills.Beyond the shows, there are plenty of areas where guests can stroll and observe the animals up close. From elegant penguins to graceful sea turtles, every animal appears to be well cared for with great attention to detail.Loro Parque doesn't just focus on the animals. The park is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, with well-maintained gardens and breathtaking views of the ocean. There are also restaurants and cafes offering delicious food and beverages, allowing visitors to relax and refuel during their visit. In conclusion, Loro Parque is an exceptional zoo that provides an incredible experience for the whole family. From the extraordinary animals to the engaging shows and enchanting atmosphere, this park is a must-visit when in Tenerife.Worth 100% all money

What a difference from Siam Park. Still crowded but nicely organized enough space and they will inform you if you will fit for the show or not.Animals have great conditions for living and one can see that they love their trainers. All shows are great and each one is a bit different.Loves the fact that Ukraine flag was shown before each show with the hippie no rockets sign. Nice gesture. We came late so had to park quite far - if you want to avoid the parking fee (7euro) you can park above the Siam park - there is a lot of free space even at 10:30.Would recommend to go twice to Loro Park rather than Siam + Loro. We didn’t even manage to see everything during whole day.It was absolutely amazing.

Really really really good zoo! Very clean, very well maintained and very well indicated. The staff is so helpful and kind and happy! We asked a worker that was cleaning some glass wall what was indie and he said "I have the otter sleeping now, I will wake them up when I finish". It felt so heartwarming for the guy to talk about them like their own.The shows were really entertaining and funny, and they always show how much research they do and how much we should take care of the environment, very educational for both young and old.I regret not doing the private tours where they show you a lot more stuff about how they take good care of the animals, but there was just not enough time.10/10 will come back again!

Fantastic place, spotlessly clean, animals are very well looked after and their surroundings are amazing too. Much better than many zoos I've been to in England by a long shot! We can learn alot from this Park Zoo. The shows they put on for everybody are amazing too! Well worth the money. A great day out.

Jason — Google review

We saw all the shows at the start of our visit. They were quite good but I wasn't mind blown 🤯. The animals were trained very well and it's nice that the shows are only 20 mins each for the animals sake. Unfortunately many of the shows were all spoken in Spanish with English or German subtitles. It's kind of tricky reading subtitles and viewing the show at the same time. We spent all day walking round the rest of the zoo, plenty of animals to see. Lots of birds. I mean loads of birds! Unfortunately they all look quite similar so we ended up just walking past a lot of them. My favourite was the sea creatures and penguins. The zoo was very clean and well kept, no rubbish lying around and plenty of places to get a drink and sit down. Tickets were a bit steep but they do take care of the place and the animals. We entered at 0930 without any queue. By 12pm the zoo was pretty busy.

Justin bunn — Google review

Excellent zoo. The animal shows are superb. Everything is well organised. It was a busy day in the Easter holidays but queues were well managed. The queue for food went down really quickly as they have a good plan you select your food, get it on your tray and pay at the till. Lots of seating available. Lovely location and fantastic selection of animals to see in a beautiful setting.Highly recommended if you are visiting Tenerife. We arrived just after opening time and easily parked in the car park for €7.The Coral Aquarium is lovely. Both that area and the penguins have a moving walkway to view so it keeps crowds moving and everyone gets chance to see.

Just amazing... I've visited Loro Parque recently and it's definitely a must see when in Tenerife. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable and they make the experience so much better. The park itself has a lot to offer in regards to animals they have and showing research they do in effort to save wild animals. The concept is just amazing with ability to see animals from all sides and even have a part where you can walk amongst parrots. I'd recommend checking schedule for live events and plan your visit accordingly. Keep up the good work and hope to see you again!

Visited on a Sunday and booked with travel agent. Park was reasonably busy but I did get to watch all of the shows. Highly recommend getting to the shows about half an hour before they start to guarantee getting a good seat. Be prepared to get wet when sitting in the splash zone area of the orca show. Macs are available to purchase for 3 euros. There is a dolphin show, sea lion show and loro show. Recommend watching all of them but my personal favourite was the sea lions. We took food and drink with us but the prices didn't seem too bad for a tourist attraction. There is lots of information about how the animals are treated and look after and it's good to read about that. The park isn't as big as it looks and everything can be seen within about 6 hours. I do think the entry price is a little expensive but still worth a visit in my opinion.

Annette Castle — Google review

Best zoo I've been to! No matter that is quite small but it has so many things to offer! The price for entry is totally worth it, I saw the nicest expositions and the cleanest environment for animals. Shows were moderate and animal friendly, we gain so many new information in very nice way. I can definitely recommend the visit. Even food you can choose healthy or not so healthy options, buffet offers both.

Lenka Hast?kov? — Google review

There is so much to see- you can easily spend the whole day there. It was such an amazing experience - we loved every moment. There are multiple shows you can attend- we went to the dolphin and sea lion and both were amazing, so many emotions. There are also plenty of different places to eat and benches to take a rest, as well as some souvenir shops. We got the tickets online on the official website but you can also purchase them at the place. I would recommend getting there early as around lunchtime it gets very busy.

B K — Google review

Wow! where to start with Loro Park. What an amazing experience. I'd recommend buying tickets in advance. Otherwise, you have to queue up twice. The park itself is well maintained, the animals are gorgeous and they are well looked after. The dolphin show is absolutely amazing, as well as the sea lion show. These alone are worth the money. These get quite busy. The parrot show is brilliant too. The whales are the ones to look out for, but be prepared to get absolutely soaking wet. We sat at the front and got drenched ( I wish I would have bought a poncho at 3 euros). They take your photo at the beginning, and you can purchase at the end for 9 euros. overall, it was a fantastic day, and my family and I loved it. The food is good quality and to be fair a decent price.

The best zoo park that I ever been to. Strongly recommend the price is high but is really worth. My advice you need to visit in the morning 9:30 is maximum to be on the gate. Sea lions, dolphins and others worth to see:)

The place is spectacular. It is worth every single penny. There are so many things to see, we literally spent 5 hours there. The animal shows are amazing! And generally, all the animals are well cared and look healthy and happy.A must to visit when in Tenerife!

One of the best animal parks on the planet you could go to, they really go the extra mile in their park and out of it to make a difference in the world.Clean and tidy, the animals look well cared for. Education, education, education is what they preach in the park about the animals and what can be done to help them. The shows are all very good and similar to others I've seen with their own little twists.Food prices are really good for a park whereas most parks charge €15+ for a burger etc Loro parks was less than €10 for the same. Not only that they offer good size rolls for only €4.50 which most parks don't.Very well worth a visit.

Absolutely stunning setting! Loved the sea lion show, they're definitely the dogs of the sea! Went to see their show twice! The grounds are immaculate, truly the most beautiful man made place I've been and masks are enforced across the park so we felt safe. The tree tops display is stunning, especially if you're a bird lover! The jelly fish and shark tunnel had me mesmerizedThe free yellow shuttle train from town center is a definite bonus!

Duane Dalldorf — Google review

A great place to visit. They have a large range of animals and four shows which are more tailored to children and people who understand Spanish (especially the parrot show), but were still entertaining. I would recommend seeing all the shows first and then looking around the park after. Also make sure you avoid the splash zone in the whale show as you really do her drenched in water. It gets busy during the day with lots of people. But you can still get close to see the animals. There was a section closed off due to maintenance so the route to see things was a bit tricky, having to go backwards and forwards to try any find the places. They give a handy map, which you can get on your phone too. There are a number of places selling souvenirs and a few places selling food. There are also toilets dotted around the place. Overall I would recommend even if you don't have children with you. We spend around 5 hours here, but you could spend less or much more.

This place is amazing! They have such wonderful animals, all very well cared for. I love how their mission is to protect the animals and release them back into the wild when possible. The shows were well done, but also very informational. Almost everything was in both Spanish and English. I would love to go back again someday.

I went there today. I thought €42 was a bit expensive but once I arrived I was not disappointed. There is a lot to see and could easily take up a whole day. There are multiple shows throughout the day. Unfortunately I didn't get around to seeing any of them, but don't worry because just before you leave you can purchase a come back ticket for €13! Bargain. I bought my tickets online the day before so had no problem getting in, you can buy them on the day but the queue is massive for that. I would recommend getting there as early as possible because around 12-1pm they get extremely busy. I had to leave early because I couldn't deal with the amount of people there but that's a good thing! The environment is lovely, the staff are always smiling and there's many more different things to see than you'd get in a normal zoo. I'm well impressed, if I ever come on holiday to Tenerife again this will be a must visit on my list. There's plenty of places to sit and relax but they do fill up quickly around peak times. Here's a few of my favourite photos :) I would post more but I took over 200 there's that much to see!

What a great day out. The shows this place puts on are amazing. I've always wanted to see a whale and it did not disappoint, it was probably the highlight for me. We got wet off the whale which adds to the fun. We also watched the dolphin and sea lion shows which were both really good. I loved the white tiger never seen on before. And the snow penguins were amazing to see. So many highlights and would be good for any age. I would highly recommend.

Great zoo. We were there for the full day 10.30 - 5, and saw most the shows. The food is reasonably priced when you are in there pizza about 9 euro. The shows have both an education element and entertainment. All the animals look well looked after. We ended up getting the duel ticket with Siam Park and it is well worth it excellent 2nd day out.

Absolutely amazing place! It is a must for anyone who visits tenerife. The shows are not to be missed. They are regular and timed so that you can practically go from one to the next. There is plenty of little kiosk and places to eat scattered around the park. It is kept very clean and tidy.It can be a little confusing to navigate, even with the free map that is provided on arrival. On a side note. This place is heavily advertised and has some free transportation from certain places (depends where you are travelling from).I would recommend you buy tickets directly online from loro Park..We were offered them by vendors while walking the streets but decided its safer to go direct. You will have a QR code on the ticket, so it speeds up getting into the park when you get there.

The park is huge with a lot of shows to attend and so many cute animals. You need at least 6 hours to visit all the park and attend some of the shows. We really liked the Orca show and the parrot show, both unique. I was so thrilled to find out about all of the beautiful implications that Loro Park had over the years regarding the protection of the animals and we loved to see how well preserved is the whole area. The animals look like they are good taken care of and the staff appears to have a close relationship with them. Things that are hard to find in another zoo’s across the world. We definitely recommend making a visit. The prices inside are ok, and the burgers are tasty. You can also come with food & beverages from outside.

Lora Park in Tenerife is an absolute gem! From the moment you enter, you're greeted with lush landscapes and a variety of stunning birds. The park is well-maintained, offering a serene environment that's perfect for families and nature lovers. The highlight for us was the parrot show – both educational and entertaining. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, clearly passionate about conservation. A must-visit for an unforgettable experience with nature's wonders. Highly recommend!

Loro Park has exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was a zoo like no other.First and foremost, we were impressed by how easy it was to access all the attractions in the park. Just the right size to explore comfortably in a day without feeling overwhelmed. Yet, despite its manageable size, the park is packed with attractions and experiences that will captivate visitors of all ages.I was especially grateful for the shaded areas scattered throughout the park, providing a welcome respite from the Tenerife sun. It made exploring the park even more enjoyable, knowing that there were plenty of places to rest and cool off when needed. As for the food selection, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality on offer, there was something for everyone, and everything we tried was delicious. But what truly sets Loro Park apart is its incredible animal shows. From the majestic orcas and playful dolphins to the charming sea lions and colorful parrots, each show was a spectacle to behold.Being in such close proximity to these magnificent animals made me feel like I was in the heart of the jungle, surrounded by nature's wonders.I was also impressed by the park's use of modern technologies to enhance the visitor experience. Interactive exhibits, informative signage, and educational displays provided valuable insights into the natural world and the importance of conservation.Overall, I can't recommend Loro Park highly enough. It strikes the perfect balance between entertainment and education, and it's one of the best zoos I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. Whether you're a nature lover, an animal enthusiast, or just looking for a fun day out with the family, Loro Park is not to be missed.

Costa Martiánez is a leisure and cultural complex featuring saltwater and freshwater pools with striking fountains, as well as rentable sun loungers. The site also boasts several Cesar Manrique monuments and a variety of dining options. Visitors can purchase day tickets for 5.5 euros or opt for packages that include entrance and lunch. While the pools are not heated, the complex offers an alternative to the area's wild beaches, providing a relaxing environment for adults to swim and unwind.

Spent the afternoon here and loved it. The pools are beautiful. The price of co*cktails is reasonable given the captive market and the price of admission is so cheap (€5.50 for an adult and just €2.50 for a umbrella!). Brilliant spot!

Hanna Naima McCloskey — Google review

Relatively nice place to visit. A shame that none of the pools were heated, it was a bit too cold for our 10 month old baby. Fine for us adults though. I still prefer the normal beaches but the waves there are too wild for my girlfriend and baby, so this was a good alternative so that they could go and swim. There are deck chairs everywhere, nice to chill. The food unfortunately was very bad, the pizza verdura (7 Euros) obviously from a freezer, the fries (2 Euros) were very bland as well.

Steven Gardner — Google review

Little bit disappointed that the big pool has been closed since May. But other pools were open. Was still a great deal. When you get in, drinks and food are good and reasonably priced.

Rob Harrison — Google review

Unfortunately it's €5.50 per adult, whether u want just a quick swim, or the whole day. And cus yr in Tenerife Norte, don't assume that the sun will shine all day. Beer €3 a pint from the various kiosks. Don't bother with the restaurant. It's just defrosted pizza, etc. And because its not run by a local family, there's no pride in what they do, so the waiters display a decidedly 'public sector' nonchalance to customer service.

Piste Meister — Google review

Clean, relaxing, suitable for families in beautiful surroundings.Park at a 24 parking garage and then walk to the place, impossible to find where to park in the streets

Brunella Antoni — Google review

After visiting the south of the Island we came up to the North mainly for the fact it is greener than the south. We really enjoyed it up here except for the fact that due to covid, and lack of tourists, the area was dead thus many places closed. On top of that, we like to visit beaches, and even though the local beaches are great to watch as they are wilder they aren't so nice to lie on for a spot of sunshine. But these salt water filled pools are a perfect substitute. For about 5 euros we got in for the whole day with a sunbed. Everywhere is clean and tidy and plenty of spots to relax and get some rays. In the morning the massive fountain is used to pump in fresh salt water to top up the pools which is pretty cool. We would definitely recommend and we will be back

Loads of large salt water pools to swim in which were a lovely temperature and weren't crowded (on a sunday). Two people was 13.50€ with umbrella to get in, Easy to find a bed. It was cloudy and slight wind but still nice to chill out

Beach

Outdoor Activities

If you're looking for a secluded and beautiful beach to relax on, then head to Playa El Bollullo on Tenerife. With strong waves and black volcanic sand as its shoreline, this beach is definitely one not to be missed.

Unfortunately the beach is closed. We watched it from up and it was beautiful. Wish it was open, would have been a great experience spending some time there. You might want to consider if you want to go there. It takes almost an hour from Puerto de la Cruz by foot (in great surroundigs though), but it seems like it’s closes all the time. By car you need to go through narrow streets.

Krist?f G?b?l?s — Google review

Black sandNice beach when waters are calm. Dangerous when waters are ruff. But it is hypnotizing to look at the big waves there. Very narrow road to get there. Parking possible for 3 euro.

V?yvik Anja — Google review

Another top 5 beaches on Tenerife in my opinion! Beautiful! Clean black sand, there’s a little restaurant, life saver, and not a lot of people. Also what is important easy accessible. There’s parking in restaurants/hotel complex for 5€

Amazing beach with dark sand and not a lot of tourists. Also getting there is a bit of adventure. The road is bad and it’s hard to go with a car. But we enjoyed our experience

Eugenia Dzusova — Google review

This place feels like a special discovery spot for me. I loved the scenery, the black sand but I must say the road to this place is very narrow and you have to watch out for that. We had to park somewhere and walk because it was a one way road leading to the beach.

Angela — Google review

the beach is beautiful, access to the beach is a little more difficult, it takes about 15 minutes to walk. the waves can be big, and you must follow the flags that indicate whether or not you can swim in the sea.

Ivan Zelic Filipovic — Google review

This beach is beautiful, stunning views. It is a bit of a walk down, but it's worth it.However, the parking situation is absolute chaos.. very narrow and winding road (should actually be a one way but is a two-way.Also, there are no rinsing showers, so keep that in mind.Otherwise, a beautiful beach to visit on your holiday!

Angela Olivier — Google review

A really great beach! The first view of the beach is breathtaking. Huge rocks, expansive sea views, and abundant nature. The sand is black, incredibly fine, and soft, and with gentle waves, the seawater feels refreshingly cool.

Metin — Google review

Black sand and big waves. The beach is very clean and there is a chiringuito where you can buy drinks and food. During the day, a few lifeguards watch the sea because of the strong current. If you come by car, you can park for 3€ at the restaurant just above the beach.

Matteo Galli — Google review

Reitx Y — Google review

I really liked visiting this beach. The hike through to the banana plantations was spectacular to get here ( except a small part covered by trees and plants that smelled like a bathroom )It was very sandy and smooth. We couldn’t swim much because of the strong waves, but we managed to splash around a bit. It’s great for sunbathing, but I recommend you bring a sun umbrella.I understand it was closed because of landslides before but it was ok now.

Monica R — Google review

One of the most beautiful places we saw.It might seem a bit hard to get there by car - the road is really tight and hard to access with a bigger car. There is a parking there that costs 5€The beach itself has black sand and looks super nice. We stayed for a bit and it is definitely a place to take pictures at.

Anda Codreanu — Google review

Excellent secluded beach, with dark sand. The view is really nice and you have a beach bar on the hill. The road up there is tough, though. There's only space for one car and the traffic is both sides.... Parking available on top, near the restaurant with a view, 5 € for non-residents. It's not safe to enter the water and swim, but you can sun bathe on the sand. It gets crowded after noon.

Andreea M — Google review

Best in Puerto area! Highly recommended! The road is narrow but you can live your car and have a 30 minutes walk to the beach!

Costin Oprea — Google review

One of Tenerife's most exquisite beaches, but exercise caution with the waves. If you're not experienced, it's advisable to avoid venturing too deep into the water.

Areg Amirjanyan — Google review

The road to the beach is stressful: too narrow and demanding on the driver; it’s better to leave the car and walk all the way to the beach. The bird is lovely.

Nan Santalova — Google review

You have to see this beach if you stay in Puerto de la Cruz ! You walk about 3-4 km thru a bananas reservation and beautiful places. The sand, the ocean water ... just perfect!

Sights & Landmarks

The Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Candelaria is a pilgrimage site and church that boasts stunning murals. In 2011, it was designated a minor basilica by Pope Benedict XVI. This picturesque destination can be easily reached by bus and offers visitors a glimpse into the rich culture of Spain. The area surrounding the basilica is home to fantastic restaurants and cafes where one can indulge in ice cream and coffee. While not particularly large, the atmosphere inside is truly amazing.

It is beautiful place. You can see real Spanish culture there and find a lot fantastic restaurants nearly.

Lovely views of the sea and the statues of the Guanche chieftans all around the harbour wall. The church is quite new, built in the 1950's, but had an old quality about it. Gorgeous inside.

A unique basilica at the coast of the ocean. The interior, especially the ceiling, is very interesting. The whole square around the basilica is worth to visit as well as the west part where you can go up to visit the small but beautiful historic centre. From there, you can have an amazing view down to the basilica and the ocean. In the historic village, there is a small square next to Church St. Anna. If you need a quite place to relax I can recommend this one.

NomNom Gnome — Google review

Of the religious attractions of the island of Tenerife, it is worth noting the Candelaria Basilica, which houses the sacred for all islanders, wooden sculpture of the Black-faced Virgin of Candelaria. On the southeast coast of Tenerife, there is the ancient city of Candelaria, the religious capital of the Canary archipelago. In this city, the beautiful Basilica of Our Lady of Candelaria (Basílica de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria) rises above the picturesque seashore. The Basilica of Candelaria was the first church in the Canaries dedicated to the Virgin Mary. A sacred relic is kept here - a wooden figure of the Black-faced Virgin of Candelaria. The church forms a single architectural ensemble with a statue storage (sanctuary) and a Dominican monastery. In front of the basilica, on Patrona de Canarias Square, there are bronze sculptures of the nine kings of the island.

Sights & Landmarks

The Iglesia de la Concepción is a 16th-century Roman Catholic church that boasts a bell tower providing stunning views of the city. Its spire can be seen from various locations in the area, such as Calle Obispo Rey Redondo and Casa de los Capitanes Generales. Colorful shops line the nearby avenue, and there are lively bars and nightlife options to enjoy.

Cheap entry and the views from the tower are very nice.

Lukas Krincvaj — Google review

This church is located in the historic district of La Laguna. I recommend you to go up the tower because it has a nice view of the city, just don't do it during the bell because it's loud and it happens every 15 minutes :).For tourists, the entrance to the tower and the church costs 2 euros. If you are a student there is a discount, but I don't remember how much

Tania Klymets — Google review

Itzik levy (Izikl) — Google review

Only 2 euro entrance for tower and church. You buy tickets at the base of tower. It was not very busy. The church is very pretty inside with silver alter pieces and lovely stained glass windows. Their is a lots of beautiful carved woodwork. The pulpit is rather impressive as are the different ceilings. Some look to be carved in 3d and very colourful. The church is in a very good state of repair and very well kept. Their is a donation box by the exit. The tower climb is not easy as steps are very deep and steep and spiral at the top but their is handrails and nice views over the city on all sided and mountains. The bells ring every 15 mins so if you dont like loud noises try to avoid those times. Good value for money and well worth visiting we thought as took a good while to do both.

The Catedral de San Cristobal de La Laguna is a neoclassical cathedral featuring a neo-Gothic interior and the baroque Virgen de los Remedios altarpiece. The cathedral houses a beautiful statue and stained glass window of St. Anthony of Padua, the patron saint of travelers. The decoration inside the building is opulent enough for a religious structure located on the island.

Nice place, very atmospheric. Was surprised ro pay for entry, but with the digital guide it was worth the money. Some beautiful altar pieces on display. Great experience, felt very connected. Lit a few candles for family and friend lost.

Although we had not booked in advance we were shown round by Karen who offered to give an impromptu talk to the students and explained some of the meanings behind these wonderful paintings by Cristina de Vera in the permanent exhibition in this beautiful old building. She then forwarded information to me about up and coming events which are being organized for school parties. The Piscina Natural de Bajamar Teneriffa is a fantastic location for swimming and relaxation, with no cost for entry and amenities such as toilets and freshwater showers. Visitors can enjoy two large pools as well as a shallow area for children, while shade is also available if required. Unfortunately, there are no chairs provided so visitors must use towels to sit on the ground.

2 big natural ocean water pools with the depth ~1,5m, one small for children and disabled people. There're showers, wc. All for free. Amazing views then swimming.

?ilvinas P. — Google review

Loved this place. So good for swiming (the water was very refreshing in early april but not too cold). There is a beach part on the left side and a pool side on the right side. No shade. The waves were huge when we visited, it was fascinatimg to watch them. There is free street parking, we were lucky to find a spot directly above the pool. Bars and restaurants nearby.

Dominika Nosková — Google review

It's a great place to swim or to chill. It's all for free and you even have toilets and sweet water showers available. There are 2 big pools and one shallow for kids. There is sun over here for most of the day, but if you prefer to sit in the shadows you won't have a problem finding that either. It's a pity there are no sun chairs or some other comfortable way to spend time there. People just lay their towels on the ground.

Alicja Borucinska — Google review

Fantastic place, found it completely by accident and what a nice surprice. The place is equipped with showers, changing rooms, all for free. Good for swimming or just chilling, all up to your preference. If you do not fancy the tide pool, a small beach is adjacent.

Radoslav Micuda — Google review

You have to go there when the tide is high. Then the big waves roll over the cliff into the pool. There are working showers and toilets, and overall the place looks well maintained. This is one of the must go places in Tenerife.

Marian Kuna — Google review

Clean benches, WCs, cafes very close, shade, 3 swimming areas, protected from waves, lifeguard patrolling (and very serious, catching misbehavior).Offseason, it's very quiet, eery even, so few people. Parking easy. Imagine the chaos and crowds of a hot summer day.Tacande cafe just at the corner, easy coffee there,1.5E, all good.

Oh this place is amazing… you are so much close to the sea. When the tide is higher, even the sea and the swimming pools will be at the same level. On the other side, you will see the very high waves hitting the stone. So cool!

Very good spot to see big waves hit the seawall. It’s really beautiful. And Nice 2 public pools.

It's a wonderful place to visit, if you use the public transportation works incredible well, but if you drive you rented car sometimes could be a headache to find a place to park. Nevertheless the pools are amazing, for swimming and enjoying the view of the open ocean right in from of them. There are few places around worth trying to discover the local gastronomy as well a German Coffe shop with good pastries and deserts and Ice creams. Always be aware not to put yourself in danger when the authorities warm about extreme weather conditions affecting the sea .

Piscina Natural de Bajamar Teneriffa is a hidden gem in Tenerife, known for its crystal clear waters, stunning rock formations, and ocean views. It offers a serene and refreshing escape, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or simply enjoying the tranquility. This natural pool is a must-visit for nature lovers and photographers alike.

This is a great place to visit if you enjoy cold water swimming. The pools are properly formed and maintained not just rocky pools. There are several big pools which are salt water right on the ocean but are filtered so no livestock in the water 😅🌊The waves crash up against the pool walls which is incredible. It is one of the few places where it is always green flags for swimming. There is a little beach cove nearby which is sandy a mix of black and yellow sand. There are as with all beaches here plenty of volcanic pebbles but this is a nicer beach to bathe on. The water has huge waves most of the time so like most of the north coast the sea isn't great for swimming but that is why the pools are here! The beach and pools are lifeguarded and lifeguards seem very vigilant like on the other beaches we have visited. Here they are watching the pools as well. There is a shower toilet and changing room block for males and females for use for free... Cold showers of course! These are mostly clean and well maintained and they have a "children's bathroom" too which is super cute for toddlers/ preschoolers.Definitely worth a visit however check the weather as when it is windy here it is super windy here 😅🌬️💨

This natural pool felt safer than the others. The area around the pool is paved so walking around was comfortable.

Awesome place. We were traveling during January and waves were too high to swim. However, it was still worth to see experience

Amazing public ocean water pool. We went there every day of our stay in Bajamar.

Easy parking in village. Bars and restaurants and many different clean pools. High tide makes waves splash into side of pools. Great fun!Life guards are vigilant.
