The imaging center at Medical City Dallas delivers high-quality diagnostic scans and provides compassionate, professional care to the North Texas community.

Our imaging center offers advanced technology and world-renowned radiologists. We strive to produce high-quality medical imagery and put our patients' needs first. For our patients' convenience, we partner with Solis Mammography to serve as our onsite provider of comprehensive breast imaging services.

Accredited medical imaging

Medical City Dallas' diagnostic imaging services have earned seven American College of Radiology accreditations, which include:

  • Computed tomography (CT)
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Ultrasound
  • Nuclear medicine
  • Stereotactic breast biopsy
  • Breast MRI
  • Mammography

In addition to these achievements, we offer 3T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), featuring the widest bore available, which creates far clearer and better images than other MRIs. We also have an impressive 64-slice computed tomography (CT) scans.

We perform sniff tests, which are evaluations of the diaphragm, a muscle between the chest and abdomen that raise and lower as you breath in and out. This test is performed for patients who have shortness of breath or dyspnea (difficulty breathing).

In addition to those mentioned above, we offer the following imaging services:

  • Positron emission tomography (PET)
  • Special procedures (SP)

Board-certified radiologists

The radiologists at our imaging center are all board certified and devoted to providing superior service. Many of them have sub-specialties, such as neuro-radiology, neuro-interventional radiology and pediatric radiology. At our center, a radiologist is always available for consultation at our center.

Before your imaging appointment

For your convenience, we offer streamlined pre-certification, registration and scheduling processes, as well as same-day appointments.

  • Please arrive 30 minutes before your appointment time to register.
  • Please bring your driver's license and insurance card.
  • Bring a list of your medications, allergies and previous surgeries, along with any other pertinent medical history.

  • You will be provided with instructions regarding what food, water and medications you can have before your exam.

Arriving at our imaging center

The imaging center is located on the northwest side of Medical City Dallas in Building D, Suite 200.

Parking access to Building D is located at the corner of Park Central and Merit Drive. Building D valet parking is available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visitor parking is open 24/7 at the corner of Forest Lane and Park Central Drive for Buildings A, B and C.

Parking fees are as follows:

  • Up to one hour: $1
  • 61 minutes to two hours: $2
  • More than four hours: $4

Upon arriving at our center, please sign in at the registration desk. You will then be called to a booth to check in. You may be asked to fill out forms regarding your exam.

You will be taken to the appropriate area to have your exam. You may be asked to change into a gown and/or remove jewelry, eyeglasses or metal objects.

When will my physician receive my test results

After your exam, a board-certified radiologist will interpret the results and report them to your physician within 24 hours.

Physicians can now access digital images with reports directly from their computers.

How can I obtain a copy of my results

You can obtain your test results from your physician, our medical records department or Medical City Imaging.

The medical records department is located in Building A, first floor across from the cafeteria, and is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Medical City Imaging is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00am to noon.

We must have a signed release form on file before your results will be released. You may print this form and complete it before your arrival, or you may fill out the form once you arrive.

If someone else is picking up your results, we must have a release form signed by you on file, indicating that this person has your permission to receive your results. This person will be asked to show proof of ID.

Most copies are available for pickup within 15 minutes. We provide CDs at no charge. We can mail films or CDs to a doctor’s office or hospital at your request after we have a signed release form.
